Re: Tata Nexon Facelift launch in September 2023

A video that could throw some light on the road presence. Mimics a mini Harrier in rear on road, may be from this angle?

A different and close angle shot. Mixed feelings!

But this Alloys dont hit well for me, but when running may be a bit better?

Apparently it's the same engine. I was told this by a dealer, so can't say how authentic this information is.

Such a neat update. Definitely a change from the quirky norm of the Korean facelifts. Its a very handsome looking car. Can't wait for the Harrier now.

Re: Tata Nexon Facelift launch in September 2023

After the rear wiper and prominent turn indicators, now it seems it is the humble HEADLIGHT that is endangered! Why is everyone insistent on reinventing the wheel? A classic headlight - turn signal - DRL assembly is timeless! What is this sheer ugliness with curved LEDs and ice cube headlights?!

If this is truly the production design, then I'm sorry, there is no way anyone can seriously say Indian OEMs can compete with Europeans or Americans in design.

Re: Tata Nexon Facelift launch in September 2023

Right now, front three-fourth is the best design bit in Nexon. It makes it look muscular and SUVish. The rear is okay and side view needs improvement.

Now the front looks bad and rear looks worse. It now looks like i20 and Toyota Urban Cruiser had a baby.

The rear design was growing on me. But now I feels like Tata should just cancel the new Nexon.

Re: Tata Nexon Facelift launch in September 2023

Design looks better in that video. However, all the launches from various manufacturers have reaffirmed my liking towards aftermarket alloy wheels options

For that size, wheels look so puny! Way too puny!

Look how they massacred my baby. I wish the design looked like this concept. It's far better looking than the one went in production.

Why does the rear end looks like a punch !
Man, it's crazy how tata can butcher a product on the design sheets.

Earlier it was the quirky, not so merging rear
Now it's too punch-esq

No offence to any owners.

The alloys would suit better on the EV varient. As mentioned, it looks puny inside 16 inchers.

I agree they are better for the EV variant as they have the aerodynamic design which many EVs these day are having including ZS EV and the newly launched Volvo C40.

Re: Tata Nexon Facelift launch in September 2023

Contrary to popular opinion, I actually think this looks good. Quirky and interesting but not too quirky like the current gen Creta. Would look killer in white DT.

Though couple of things I've always hated with the Nexon remains as is, mainly:

1. The eggshell/Indica-esque side profile
2. Extremely high window line
3. Very short rear overhang

And I don't think facelifts will solve any of that, it will take the next generation of the Nexon to change that. And I sincerely hope that Tata makes a next-gen for the Nexon instead of abandoning their car brand names like they did to Hexa, Indica, Sumo, Sierra etc.

Toyota has been successfully running the Innova nameplate for over a decade, and even with a drastically different generation (Hycross) which has almost nothing to do with the previous gen, they still retained the Innova name. THAT is how brand loyalty is built. Same for City and Honda.

Re: Tata Nexon Facelift launch in September 2023

If ever there was a car that didn't need a face-lift, but only a rear-lift, it has to be the Nexon (pun intended ).
Also it has already had a facelift wherein the fish-eyed headlights were changed to the current ones but the rear was left pretty much untouched.

Re: Tata Nexon Facelift launch in September 2023

I like how the new version looks. Very modern and well proportioned, the only sore point seems to be the tata logo, they need to re-work it like Mahindra did. This just does not go with their new generation of cars.

Exactly my opinion is the same. The current one looks good from the front. Last time they took "facelift" literally and didn't change the rear. This time it is different, but still has traces of indica design.

I still like the new design, it looks modern & quirky. After launch, it might look better in other colours.
