The Tata Nexon facelift has started to arrive at dealer stockyards.

The single spy image reveals the rear profile of the new Nexon. While the overall silhouette appears to be unchanged, Tata has tweaked the styling to give it a fresher look. The most evident update is the new tail lamp clusters with a Y-pattern that are adjoined by an illuminated light stripe.

Surprised that it is yet to be launched officially but the car supposedly seems to have been shipped to few dealers. Or is this a planned blooper image leak?

Any concrete info on the powertrain ? I see a lot of debate here, whether it would be the same 1.2 L Turbo Petrol on the current Nexon, or the updated one with more power and Torque figures as showcased at the Expo. Perhaps, the newer and powerful engine is reserved only for the Curvv ?

Quite a nattily dressed rear, I must say. I like the lack of flab and the edgy but tight skinning of the hatch lid.
Looks to be a petrol entry level variant. The rear muffler definitely confirms its the 1.2 petrol and if you zoom in, you'll see the unpainted right rear door handle, which can only come in base or the variant just above that. Also no roof rails.
Would be interesting to know if there has been any overall weight penalty or weight benefit. And correspondingly any changes in gearing.
I believe the EV facelift will also launch simultaneously with the internal combustion model refresh.

You are right, the new engine is reserved for the Curvv. This is just a facelift and so it wont get the new engine.

This one is a base variant for sure. No roofrail, no rear camera, no rear skid plate, black door handles. If they could give the connected rear lights on base variant too, that would be so cool.

Also, IMHO, the rear is much more appealing now (digestable ), I wouldn't say I liked that thick white ribbon on the current one. For the front though, I loved the current one's due to its resemblance to the Rangerover Discovery-ish design. But this new one is not too bad either, it could grow on us. Understandbly TATA just moved the headlights to the bumpers (for better profits as few mentioned), and the bonnet looks the same too. Interior and steering wheel big

As per CarGuru youtube Channel the new engines will only be coming for the Curvv that too next year ,therefore effectively ruling out in the nexon.

No full width LED DRL to be seen.

I remember Martin Uhlarik mentioning this in an interview that the full width LED strip will be a signature element of all their EVs.

Maybe the facelifted Nexon EV will carry one.

Current Nexon has a good looking front and a kind of weird so many things going on rear.

Looks like the Tata has gone the other way around this time with that smoothened out front like the phone camera beauty filters.

I like nexon, and I hope the facelift will look even better than the ongoing model.

The new color looks fresh and the interior looks updated and premium to me. The steering-mounted screen though looks odd at the moment but will surely become a USP for the mass market (need to watch what all the information will be displayed apart from the Tata logo). We need to wait to see it in the flesh to make any comment.
The powertrain on offer will also play an important role (esp for enthusiasts).

I guess 2020 Nexon has tail lamps the same and then the new i20 came. And this iteration, they joined the tail lamps using a continuous brake lights which shortly became an industry norm.
That X style tail lamps look like is there even today.
