How much can we expect the prices to increase for the top end automatic?
I would say the XZA DCT with the new 1.2 P will be around 13.5-14 lacs ex-showroom (around 16ish onroad depending on your state). Add the sunroof and other gizmos and I expect it to top at 16 lac exshowroom for topmost model with DCT+Sunroof et al.

Currently, the topmost automatic variant for petrol (red dark edition) sells at ₹ 13,19,900 ex-showroom. If it ends up anywhere near 16 L, that would be a steep increase.

Since Brezza is capped at 14.14 L, I'm hoping Nexon also ends up somewhere around that only.

re: Tata Nexon Facelift launch in September 2023

I don't know why some are surprised with the front end look. I mean it was supposed to be inspired by the Curvv and it's pretty clear what design language Tata has chosen for the future. When the Punch was first launched I did not think much about it but boy has it grown on me! The Tata family face is now consistent for all non-hatchback models and I don't think it's a bad thing at all.

But keep in mind it will come with some features missing in Brezza, like ventilated seats, and a lot more powerful Turbo Petrol.

re: Tata Nexon Facelift launch in September 2023

As with the automotive industry, Tata is happy to spoil the only part of the well-designed Nexon - the headlights. "Why?" You wonder? So that the headlights can be moved onto the bumper, and any minor accident ensures it is very likely to need complete replacement - and plastics are covered only at 50% (unless people buy B2B coverage - which is priced at a significant premium).

I bet the back remains the same horrible X design & the side silhouette obviously remains the same Indica-like design. It seems their motto was, "How to ruin an OKAYish design instead of improving it so that it is slightly more profitable ?"

Any clue what the mechanical updates are? I hope they've not moved to a 5-speed manual gearbox - same as being used in Altroz, just slightly modified so it can somehow work with the 110bhp motor.

Smart, Pure, Creative, Fearless
The industry's use of immature variant terminology, too, must be duly criticised. Consumers shouldn't be treated like children.

re: Tata Nexon Facelift launch in September 2023

If its indeed the 5 speed TA65 gearbox, then the power output for the base variants will be lowered too.

Its been widely reported that it can handle torque upto 140 nm, much lesser than the current Nexon's turbo petrol output of 170nm. The spec, Altroz iTurbo uses.

So, if that's the case, then:

Base spec - 1.2 Turbo Petrol 140 nm - 5 Speed manual
Mid Spec - 1.2 Turbo Petrol 170 nm - 6 Speed manual, AMT
Top spec - 1.2 Turbo Petrol 170 nm (maybe higher) - 6 speed manual, 7 speed DCA

A Nexon for everyone.

They could use the 5 speed gearbox used in Altroz Diesel since that powertrain has 200Nm of torque. That way they don't need to de-tune the engine. This is highly likely the scenario to be followed by Tata.

Looks so much better than the current tailights on my Nexon Ev. Just can’t digest the fact that why would they completely change the already good-looking front headlights, rather just make it look a little more sharper right?

A new purple colour is going to be added to the colour palette, spotted at FCA’s Ranjangaon factory.

Seems like the interior is color coded with the exterior shade.. Looking good.

New color reminds one of the classy misty violet that was such a rage on the Honda Civic

The rear was already resembling i20 rear so they decided to add i20 N line's color as well?

Anyways I'm happy the rear looks somewhat better than it used to.

I like nexon, and I hope the facelift will look even better than the ongoing model. The new flat bottom steering along with buttons layout looks cool, but that rectangular-shaped screen looks odd, it looks edgy and out of place to me. My personal opinion, others might like it too.
