re: Tata Nexon Facelift launch in September 2023

Since its an established car, and in demand, may not have introductory pricing

Dealers will not tell even if they know the details, because they will be more interested to sell the current model before the facelift launch happens.

Feature changes will be substantial not the price increase, as they have a competition to fend off.

Also, the substantial price increase being talked about is also confusing. Will Tata put Nexon in a segment above rivalling the likes of Creta, Seltos and also risk the prospects of Curvv? The price increase should not be more than 50-60k else, it would become a totally different segment car.
I don't think they're going to place Nexon and in a segment above, for that they have Curvv. They'll keep it in the same segment and hike the price as per facelift standards.
I have a feeling that Tata's going to do a mega launch event for facelift versions of Nexon, Harrier and Safari together, hopefully in October. Curvv, I believe will be coming next year.

Nexon launch is next month - with current discounts and upcoming full mode change with new variant nomenclature the price increase would be significant barring the entry trim.

Harrier / Safari are slotted for October .

Perhaps the second time. The Safari is the first IMO!

Last minute name changing to save the Harrier+/Gravitas/Buzzard from being slaughtered by the XUV700 doesn't count.

Also after recent scoop pics this looks more like a heavily reworked version of the current Nexon than a complete generation change.

They had some ill-advised generation changes.

The Indica Vista should have been just Indica and the Indigo Manza should have been just the Indigo. Greed from TML to keep on chugging the old generations forced them to put suffixes and prefixes and when those failed give new names like how Indica Vista became Bolt. Same with the Sumo, Sumo victa, Sumo gold, Sumo Grande, Sumo Grande Mark II, Movus charade. And the Storme one where they kept the decades old body while giving a new platform and interiors.

As a former Tata anorak, I had dreamt of Indica/ Indigo having multiple generations like the City, Corolla, Civic, Camry and the Safari taking the fight to the large Japanese SUVs with multiple generations. Sigh. Hope at least from their post 2016 clean slate, they keep legacy brands alive.

We usually have launches around Diwali as it's the peak sales season. Dealers will get to know about the launches only 2 weeks prior - that's when the training is provided to the staffs.

re: Tata Nexon Facelift launch in September 2023

I hope Tata improves interiors (colour combination) in base and middle trims as well.

Currently, there is a day and night difference in XM vs XZ+.

Also, they must address that push button hole in base variants

Indica went to Indica V2 and then Indica Vista before being dropped out.

Tata Nexon facelift spied up close; new details revealed

The upcoming Tata Nexon facelift has been spied up close revealing some of its intricate design details. The updated crossover is expected to go on sale later this year.

Starting with the exterior, the Nexon facelift will get a new front fascia featuring a slim grille flanked by LED daytime running lights and headlamps positioned in separate vertical pods. As you will notice, the design looks similar to that of the upcoming Tata Harrier / Safari facelift.

A closer look at the front air dam reveals a slim trapezoidal grille with vertical slats. Note the front camera that is mounted in the centre. The Nexon is likely to get a 360-degree camera but will miss out on ADAS.

The side profile of the Nexon looks familiar with its coupe-like roofline and short overhangs. It does have a new set of alloy wheels though. The test car is equipped with turbine-style 5-spoke dual-tone wheels.

Inside, the Nexon will get a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a digital instrument cluster and a new 2-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo in the centre. The centre console houses a rotary drive mode selector and a stubby gearshift lever.

Under the bonnet, the Nexon facelift is rumoured to get Tata's new 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine producing 122 BHP and 225 Nm. The 1.5-litre diesel engine is likely to be carried over as well.

The widespread rumour was that the facelift is going to get ADAS, which doesn't seem to be the case and is a disappointment. But, with Tata's strategy, I am not surprised. They seem to reserve certain safety elements as per the segment. They neither offer ESC nor 6 airbags in Tiago/Tigor/Altroz/Punch. They offer ESC, but not 6 airbags in the current Nexon, but Harrier gets both. So, ADAS is probably reserved only for Harrier and above.

re: Tata Nexon Facelift launch in September 2023

Are we expecting DCT with diesel also in the facelift? Or the same old Diesel AMT combination? I couldnt find any concrete info about this anywhere online, so posting here. All the info is pointing out at DCT with Petrol but havent found any indications about the Diesel DCT possibilities.

That's a great start already! I can see this becoming a bit of a blockbuster if they get the rear styling right as well. With an updated interior and a future EV release this will just help strengthen their already excellent monthly sales.
