Tata Nexon Facelift launch in September 2023

Came across the Nexon EV refresh on my route today. It was the lux model with all white leather interiors.

The dashboard was heavily padded but is different from the current Nexon. The controls are now on a touch sensitive panel right in front of the gear lever. Fit and finish looked quite good and the new touchscreen looks massive in comparision.

Looks like Tata has learnt from feedback. This seems production ready.

Tata Nexon facelift digital instrument cluster spied

The Tata Nexon is getting a major update. Recent spy images have revealed several new features and updates. Now, more images of the Nexon facelift have surfaced online, this time, providing a glimpse of the car's digital instrument cluster.

The digital instrument cluster on this Nexon facelift has crisp blue graphics. It has a circular speed / gear indicator on the left. The screen itself appears larger than the 7-inch TFT unit available in the Tata Safari.

The Nexon facelift will be based on the Curvv concept and will adopt Tata Motors' next-generation cabin design. Spy images have revealed a redesigned dashboard with a 2-spoke steering wheel and a larger touchscreen infotainment system.

Tata has also patented a new centre console featuring haptic switches for the climate control system. It could be available on all future Tata cars.
On the outside, the updated Nexon is expected to feature a new front fascia with an LED light bar along with a redesigned bumper and headlamps. The rear of the car will also receive a makeover with Safari-style tail lamps.

The Tata Nexon is all set to get a major makeover. Recently, we got our first glimpse of the car's digital instrument cluster, and now, new spy images have emerged that showcase its all-new LED taillights.

The Nexon facelift will get a completely new tail lamp setup. The spy images reveal V-shaped LED lights with a light bar between the two tail lamp clusters.

The front fascia of the Nexon is expected to borrow styling cues from the Curvv concept. The crossover appears to feature an upright grille and a split headlamp setup. Spy images showcase sleek LED daytime running lights and a projector headlamp positioned on the front bumper.

On the inside, the Nexon facelift will get a 2-spoke multi-function steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo in the centre. The car will also come with an all-new centre console with haptic switches and a larger touchscreen infotainment system.

Under the bonnet, the Nexon facelift is rumoured to get Tata's new 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine producing 122 BHP and 225 Nm. The 1.5-litre diesel engine is likely to be carried over as well.

Can anyone notice the difference?
This seems to be the Curvv or the Frest as the rear over hang seems to be longer than the current Nexon. Looks like the length of the car could be above 4.15 meters as much as the XUV400. Even the rear wheel cladding is much thicker than the current Nexon. Rear end seems flat in the Nexon but it seems protruding or curved out, as the LED strip that connects both break light assemblies can be seen up to the logo from the side. Also, the C pillar seems wider than the current Nexon, if you observe the edge of the rear window panel to the outer edge of the rear windshield.

I think this is valid a doubt. I am in talks with my local TATA salesman for an EV purchase. He had called me yesterday to inform that they have started unofficial bookings for a new crossover which is expected to launch around Onam festival time (late August). He feels its going to be Blackbird.

Maybe this is the facelifted Nexon EV. In EVs they don't have to stick to the sub 4m requirement to save tax. This is why XUV400 is longer than XUV300. Maybe Tata is employing the same strategy with Nexon

The camera angle and the camouflage makes it look longer. The angle is not perpendicular the side of the nexon. This is indeed the Nexon, and its going to be the same 4m.

Any timeline for the release of facelift Nexon EV? August seems unlikely since they just refreshed the top variant with a bigger display.

As per the rumour mill, they did this to clear the inventory for the current Nexon to make way for facelift.

This is one facelift I am eager to checkout, looks like Tata has done their homework on the negatives and are trying to fix most of it, Nexon can improve its tally on the monthly charts if the following are offered

- Proper automatic transmissions
- Improved fit and finish
- Improved power delivery on the petrol, would be nice if the new 1.2 T GDI is offered with this (albeit with a lower state of tune to make sure they have enough differentiation with Curve/Sierra)

The distance between the rear door glass and the rear windshield that has the C pillar is longer and the roof rails end earlier. That clearly shows the extended rear end. It seems elongated Nexon.

I am sure it is the Curvv. Also, if there is a revamp Nexon, then it should be on the Alfa modular platform and not on the X1 platform.

IIRC, curvv was a coupe design no? This doesn't seem like it.
