Re: Which of your cars didn't throw tantrums?

I voted for VW as I drove a 2017 Vento TDI highline for a little more than 6 years without it giving me any problems. It’s still in the family but I have now moved on to 2019 Vento TSI highline plus. Both cars have been trouble free (touchwood).

A not so perfect car: Tata Indigo Manza 2012 - I drove it for about 80k kms and 4 years before selling it off to cars24 for a meagre 40k rupees. It had multiple issues and needed a huge amount to fix it.

Tata Tiago 2016: working fine, no major issues. The only issue is that it’s not fun to drive at all.

My 2019 Hyundai Creta 1.4 Diesel alias The Black Mamba has been trouble-free for 3.5 years and 60,000 KMs *Literally touching the wooden TV unit right next to me* .

Mitsubishi's! Both my cars Cedia (10 yrs) and Pajero sport (pre owned) have been tank like for reliability. Cedia got me home after an accident all the way from Satpura to Pune.

Getting regular spares for them is a seperate story though

Re: Which of your cars didn't throw tantrums?

Four tantrum free cars I've driven
Maruti (suzuki) 800 1998-2005 10000km
Ford Figo 2009-2017 15000km
Hyundai elite i20 2015-present 70000km
Honda Jazz 2016-present 30000km
All the above cars have had practically no breakdowns and have practically thrown no tantrums on a day to day basis m But since I've driven the Hyundai elite i20 almost everyday since past 8 years now, I can vouch for it as the most hassle free car I've driven. Periodic maintenance apart, and barring one issue with the AC a couple of years ago, it's never acted up, broken down or let me down in 70k kms and I drive in the highways mostly. Lowest maintenance would be the Maruti 800.
