Considering they've only taken 38 years to bring an updated gypsy to these shores, a short 2/3 months shouldn't trouble the faithful too much.

If the last couple of posts are to be considered, there seem to be a general consensus on not complaining about the delay (considering the dates given by Maruti at launch, it is debatable if it can even be called a 'delay'). However, we loyal Jimny/Gypsy fans believe we are entitled to some concrete bits of dates and information from MSIL; we have waited for so long after all :-). I cannot cut the wait short, but this may soothe the ailing souls a bit.

Given that the Jimny is not out, is there any point in this video?
I think a sheet of paper should suffice for a theoretical comparison.

Jimny will be available next week (on rotational basis) at MSIL dealer showrooms for viewing.

Is this confirmed? Was this announced officially or was it informed by a trustworthy source.

We await with bated breaths to see the car in flesh but two different Nexa dealers have been telling me that they expect the car sometime in April only and deliveries from May onwards.

Confirmed from a trusted source. People who have booked it can reach out to their dealers tomorrow and ask for viewing “schedule”.

Is this in North or South India. In Bangalore there is no such information as of yesterday. Will speak to the Nexa dealer tomorrow again.

I checked for a certain city in North India. Let’s wait till tomorrow evening / Monday 13th March for more news as people (MSIL dealers) catch up on their email and information percolates to their frontline sales team members.

I remember during Grand Vitara launch also the car came to Chandigarh first. Probably by Monday we will have more clarity as you said. :thumbs up

Well I have received a message from my RM yesterday that Jimny will be on display at the showroom from Monday i.e. from 13th March.

By the way the dealer is Pasco, Gurgaon

As a long time Gypsy enthusiast, I have the original book about Hope Star On in my Kindle. And some more literature too about the SJ and LJ series along with the Haynes Workshop repair manuals as well, for all the series.
This new 5 door Jimny is extremely tempting. Let me see it and then figure whether I can get myself one.

Any update, has the car reached Pasco yet. One of our members visited them today morning but there was no sign of the Jimny.

It seems that the plans have been cancelled and the further dates shall be announced later.
