Even if i pick up the Jimny, it would be my secondary car, as you said, its that "Heart over Head" situation.

Don't rule out Jimny on the suspension/ride quality alone. One can upgrade them with options like Ironman which makes a massive difference to the quality of ride, then it can become very much liveable. Lot of plug and play stuffs are available for Jimny which is a big boon unlike the new Thar. Even a bolt-on turbo kit is available too.

I've two Gypsies - my HT stock Gypsy runs on ARB's OME(Old Man Emu) and the the open top off road spec one runs on Ironman. Both are great in it's own rights with Ironman having an edge in off road scenarios and OME on street roads, in my little experience i've with them. To be honest, i've not had any serious off roading with OME except driving on trails, slush, rocky terrains etc.

I was following the Team-BHP Jimny related thread since 5th December, 2021. Then Autocar's YouTube video was published in August, 2022. Since October, 2022 I was in touch with the NEXA SA for pre-booking opening of the Jimny. Finally booked the Jimny on 12th January, 2023. Went to the NEXA dealerships 4 times to get a glimpse of the Jimny on display. And finally, today we are going to have the much awaited Jimny 5 Door detailed review report on Team-BHP.

Prelude of the review was exciting and thrilling. Hope the ownership journey starts soon for all of us waiting eagerly for the Jimny.

100% refund on cancellation till the time price is revealed. MSIL/ NEXA do honour that.

Yes online booking amount is 25k while offline showrooms are booking the same for 1k. Free cancellation in both cases. I visited to check Fronx yesterday. It finally reached my city. No TD available yet.

I liked blue colour but never thought red would look this good as well.

Does this give any indication how an unreasonably high priced product is received in a price sensitive market?

Mind you, I would be happiest if Maruti proves me wrong and this gets an awesome pricing :)

Maruti is making a big mistake if they think they can sell it as a premium product. They are taking the market and customers lightly. Also expecting a lot cancellations even before price reveal is not good thinking. I think this thread will be dead silent as well.

All of can just wish that Mahindra listens to customers and introduce a 5d Thar. Then silence will prevail here even before price reveal. But if Jimmy is priced right then I’ll take it. That narrow design is a lot more useful.

Mod Note: Our Maruti Jimny Review has been taken live at this link. Please continue the discussion over on the new thread. Thanks!
