The red Jimmy with bluish black roof, is looking so good!
The looks quotient will surely increase with offroad rims/black alloys and broader tyres.
Have myself booked a white one. But now red looks tempting.:coldsweat
Any real time images of white Jimny from this media drive, for comparison? If so, can someone kindly share?
Now the wait begins, for the team bhp review and the official price reveal, which is going to be the deciding factor for many of us.
TIA,
Chandan

Looking at the promotions, adverts, capabilities, market potential, previous sales; you would assume that Jimny's ideal habitat could be the states of Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, J&K and Ladakh. |
And Bangalore. This is what many GenX, Millenials and Gen Z say and have got themselves Thar. :Cheering:
After looking and reading about the Jimny so much, I somehow imagine the Jimny the only way as below:
Black or Forest green colour.
Black steel rims (the hot aftermarket ones), 215 to 235 tyres, a 40mm lift kit with choicest aftermarket suspension.
And last but not the least, a proper exhaust for that burly sound that the K15B produces.
The exhaust is important for enhancing that raw appeal of the car. Indeed a once in a lifetime car for me. (Pricing still matters though)

Any photos of the 5dr Forest green color?
And confirmed for civilian delivery?
I would have one booked already if it had a 6AT. No doubt the off road capabilities would be top notch.
Mahindra better hurry on the Thar 5 door.
Looks likeJimmy will keep its promises. Looks beautiful.
Now since this is a 5 door; can I wish to take her to long drives / road trips instead of keeping her limited to only 4x4 trails? Spending good money on a 5 door just to have a 4x4 might not be sensible for many out here.
Will wait till 26th and look for the answer.
Cheers
Took the plunge and booked the Jimny on Sat. I went and looked at Kia Sonet and Scorpio N. I am hoping the pricing works out for me when it is officially released. I booked the Blue color, AT.

This green is the darker shade available in 3D Jimny or the pale green of scorpioN.
Can Team BHP reps confirm with MSiL regarding this.

If it is the darker green, it would be the best color for Jimny.

Mahindra actually does not need to.
The Thar 5 door will be in a completely different segment, at almost 2x the price (on-road).
The Thar & Jimny - very different to me.
Each and every engine under the hood of the Thar, is so much better than Maruti's lifeless 1.5.
But for the city, I am sure the Jimny would be an easier car for daily runs.
I hope Maruti Suzuki can score decent points for safety with this one.
Noob Question... What happens to the vehicles that are a part of this media drive? Sold to unsuspecting customers as brand new vehicles?
Really very excited for the New Jimny.
One of the rare products from the house of M&S which I would seriously consider getting.
My Perfect Spec: A Vibrant Colour (Red/Yellow), Upsized Tyres, Gloss Black Highlights+Chrome Delete(Repaint Rims+Grill), AUX. Lights, Noise & Vibration Damping(Full or Partial) & an ICE Upgrade (Components+Amp+Subwoofer).
A fun little daily/weekend getaway vehicle is ready!!!
Thanks.

A very important questions. What does the past experience from Thar, Scorpio suggests. Ideally customer should be told about this usage and a slight discount be offered.

Jimny isn’t a “city car”.

About the engine, its more than enough to conquer almost all sorts of trails.
Jimny is going to be the most affordable and capable enough 4x4 vehicle for common people like me who wish to travel to remotest parts without drilling a hole in the pocket.
People like me dont need XXX BHPs, we just need a simple, capable 4x4 vehicle which without guzzling litres of fuel can go to remotest places. Not to mention in remotest parts you need most reliable vehicle and everyone knows how reliable a Japanese vehicle is.
Jimny is a dream come true vehicle for people like me. Its going to be cheapest, most fuel efficient and a reliable 4x4, a lot more reliable than the other affordable 4x4s available today in the Indian Market.
