Interiors
The LM might look similar to the Vellfire when it comes to the exteriors, but Lexus has made quite a few changes to differentiate the two on the interior front. The most obvious difference is the use of a black colour scheme with dark wood inserts. Another change is a partition between the driver's area and the passenger cabin which is absent in the Vellfire.
Shot of the driver's cabin. Most if not all of the interior trim pieces including the steering, infotainment and aircon controls are shared with its Lexus siblings:
Three-spoke steering that we have seen on numerous Lexus cars before. Controls for the infotainment are on the left spoke, while those for the MID are on the right spoke:
The driver's area is partitioned from the passenger cabin:
Dark wood trim looks great! Controls for the infotainment and the shade between the driver's area & passenger cabin can be seen here:
Rear seats are where an LM owner would typically be seated. The two business class style recliners do divine justice to the "executive lounge" theme the LM tries to follow:
Rear passengers get a TV-like screen at the back which is capable of playing FM, AM and audio via bluetooth too. The screen can stream videos via HDMI input as well:
Centre stack for the rear passengers gets controls for both rear windows, the rear sunshade and the locking system too. Don't miss the integrated infotainment screen here:
Behind the centre stack lies a handy armrest with a storage compartment built in. You can also see the two 10W charging sockets with the HDMI input for the screen:
Another shot of the rear seat. Don't miss the manual sunshade for the rear quarter glass:
Vanity mirror with a dedicated lamp for each passenger looks uber-cool! Don't miss the ambient lighting strip and air con vents towards the right:
The conventional sunroof is positioned directly above the passenger cabin as one would expect:
Controls for the air con, sunroof and ambient lighting are placed quite far from the rear passengers towards the front. Probably the only ergonomic sore point in the entire car. Don't miss the classy analog clock:
The front of the cabin houses a cooled compartment. Useful for keeping chilled beverages:
Here's the amount of boot space on offer:
