More than the changes made, I was hoping that would do away with the miserable AMT and have go back to their earlier automatic versions (not sure if it was a CVT). Almost all so called "automatics" below 10lakhs are AMT's. Very little choice left.

Re: 2023 Hyundai Grand i10 NIOS & Aura revealed; bookings open

Hi,

I am considering buying the i10 nios and am looking for opinion on couple of things from experienced car buyers.

1. Currently they are not giving any offers. Should I wait till March? Is it a trend that some offers may come up as it's financial year ending.

2. Should I buy insurance from the company or outside? Is it a hassle while making claims if one takes insurance from outside?

3. Is bumper to bumper insurance add on worth it?

Thanks

Congratulations on your choice!!
1) It's a fresh launch and offering immediate discounts would deteriorate the Nios Brand, having said that, the compact hatch segment demand is driven by discounts and effective transactional price to customer. [ price sensitive segment with focus more on budget vs product ]

So yes there will be discounts in few months, initiating as dealer incentives > exchange > consumer cash discounts . So if you can wait then you might save some bucks.

2) It is peace of mind vs cost efficient, try and negotiate with the dealer to match the cheapest external offering.

3) Always , in my opinion one should have bumper to bumper insurance as long as possible. It does help in maintaining the exteriors over longer periods in case of minor/major claims.

Mod Note: Our 2023 Hyundai Grand i10 Nios Facelift Report has been taken live at this link. Please continue the discussion over on the new thread. Thanks!
