Unfortunately the honourable judge disposed the case months ago, after forcing the petitioner to get registered under KA series, with the caveat that government agreed to refund fees if Supreme Court case outcome was adverse. Doubtful if that will happen in reality, as government will make them run pillar to post filing more contempt cases even after supreme court order comes.

Supreme Court case may (finally) get listed in the second week of November, and I hope the honourable justice puts an end to this farce, but if the government continues its delaying tactics or matter is not reached, it might get delayed into next year due to holidays.

Best way to support the case is 1: to refrain from buying vehicles in Karnataka until government stops unlawfully discriminating against private employees, and 2: petition our honourable transport minister to put (centre-state/bjp-congress) politics aside and do what is right for the state.

I have a query, the law doesn't allow me to buy a BH registered car in KA as a Private Ltd employee. But, can I buy one from the used car space.

Do we have any guidelines to transfer the RC in such scenarios?

BH registration of a vehicle will happen in a persons name (new or resale) only if he/she meets the BH criteria and if the state government is ready to register.
