Sorry for the noob question, 30 lakh and change is from 5th yr to 10th yr? or only for the 10th yr? In any case for extended warranty it seems to be high.

@all, any idea what an equivalent Audi or MB extended warranty cost?

Mercedes is discontinuing the EQS and will be replacing it with an S-Class EV, which could be one of the reasons for this massive discount. Or, perhaps not, because the S-Class EV is supposed to come in with the next-gen S-Class, which is still a few years away. The fact that Mercedes sold over 32,600 S-Class sedans compared to the EQS sedan’s shade over 16,000 copies (in the 30-odd months since the EQS has been on sale) is a testament to why brand recall plays such a big role, especially with the revered moniker like the S-Class - also why automakers have revived monikers like Hummer, Bronco, Lightning, et al from the ashes.

The EQ brand was supposed to mimic its ICE lineup, offering a like-for-like model, which meant the EQS was the S-Class equivalent in the EV world. However, things didn't go as Mercedes would've hoped for, forcing it to take this drastic measure with its flagship EV just a few years into production. You would expect the company to have more faith in the product, but Mercedes seems to have realized it jumped the gun a little too quick with EVs. From being one of the most active automakers to launch EVs, to now backpedaling on its EV plans and investing more in its ICE tech, scenes have changed quite a lot in the last year or so. Fun fact - Mercedes isn't the only one to slow down its EV development. Even Porsche, Ford, GM, Renault, Volksawgen, Volvo, Bentley, Aston-Martin, and most recently, Toyota - despite getting certified to produce performance-spec and solid-state batteries - have taken their foot off the 'gas' pedal[/url] (pun intended).

Not to mention, the EQS sedan is the most depreciating vehicle (not just EVs) in the U.S. doesn't instill any faith either. The EQS loses around 48-percent of its value in the first year
, which I'm sure is also the reason why the automaker thinks there's no point in rebuilding the EQS sedan's reputation.

The funny thing is, the EQS SUV might continue to live on, despite selling just 15-20 examples more on a monthly average compared to the sedan. Anyway, let's see where things go from here.

I also took a test drive of Q5 recently. I passed it.
The Q5 is due for refresh (next generation already unveiled).

To me, the interiors of Q5 did not look vastly different than previous gen, even exteriors have commonalities. The premium plus did not even have wirless bluetooth connection for a 79L car! It's engine was smooth though.

Unless your friend loves the current gen design a lot and intends to keep for long time, better to pass in my opinion.

It doesn't have bluetooth? I believe you are talking about wireless android auto/apple carplay. If you are then yes, some manufacturers only offers either of the one out of two due to licensing issues.

Does not entirely surprise me. The EQS has been a dud, and it becoming the world’s highest depreciating car doesn’t help its cause. Add to that the fact that EV sales worldwide are slowing and you’ve got a very desperate MB.

Bluetooth is wireless only. There is no *wired* bluetooth! Q5 has bluetooth for wireless music and calls. It doesn't have wireless android auto/car play.

I am in the market for a new GLS 450d. Mercedes is offering free insurance this month. Does anyone know if any additional benefits can be availed from the dealers in Delhi/ NCR.

My car completes 4 years next month and I plan to keep it at least for another 4. I plan on not going with this as it looks too exorbitant to me.

Experts, from your experience, is it a good idea to take the risk?

30l for extended warranty is wild. Is bmw expecting the car to fall apart by the 6th year? The value of the car itself will be less than 25L by the 10th year.

Re: The "New Luxury Car" Price Check Thread | Track Discounts, Offers & Deals on Audi, BMW, Mercedes

Looking for a new car <50L, and Audi Q3 Tech version is available at 48L OTR for HRY registration. Have eliminated GLA and X1 due to their less than stellar petrol variants, and the Q3 seems to have enough power to make peace with.

Is this a good deal? Any other suggestions?

Hi Vik,

The dealer had an existing stock Black Colour 2 series.
Colour options were White, Black and Blue. Apart from Black they said it will take a month to deliver the vehicle.
The Final On-Road price came at 45L (PY Registration).

This looks like a very good deal. Premium variant for Q3 was 53+ a couple of months back in Haryana. Speak to all 3 dealers of NCR and negotiate for the best quote.

Hi seems like a good deal but you can negotiate hard with Audi Dealers get a EW or Service Package included. In my experience i have always gotten a best deal from Audi Delhi West! If you want I can connect you to the person i deal with!

Audi South was offering me the Tech plus at 42.5 all inclusive last month. you just need to bargain HARD! the Sales exec will claim "Sir, absolutely best offer, just for you. Took GM special approval" yada yada. Just be firm and say this is teh price I am willing to pay and see them magically get additional approvals.

I stuck to 40 Lakhs- said come close to it and you have a deal. 42.5 is the best I got, and now Audi gurgaon has reverted saying if you exchange existing car, we can do 41.5. Im pretty sure I can get them to 41.

Hi, do you mean Premium Plus instead of Technology? As 43 is what i was quoted for Premium Plus.
