Not replacing the 630D anytime soon. Yet to find a car as capable yet sublime. Got a great deal on E200 in month of march - and the car serves the purpose of being ferried around quiet well. Just wondering if Mercedes is offering any discounts as they have quite an inventory in Indore. Last I checked they had about 7-8 GLS in stock, along with multiple GLE, E, C and what have you.

In MH - individual cars are taxed upto 15% depending on displacement, fuel, size, price, etc. but corporate registered cars & CBU's attract a flat 20% road tax.
Both individual and corporate are curbed at a road tax of 20L however so a 1.5Cr S350D CKD and a 8Cr. Rolls Royce would both pay maximum Rs. 20L tax here.
Road tax capped at 20L?! that is impressive and sounds a bit too good to be true. I remember registering their supercars in Union Territories like PY, DL, etc to take advantage of the lower road taxes but MH wasn't ever the popular option in rest of India known for their ever high road taxes such as KA.I assume there is some hidden cost missing here if the road tax is capped in MH.

Also, I would say if eligible for a BH registration it is such a boon, firstly because the road tax and registration is nominal, and you don't pay lifetime road tax upfront like most states, instead every 2 years. So a considerable upfront cost is saved bringing down the cost of ownership and also your EMIs if you are opting for On road financing. Especially when we talk about cars north of 1.5 crores

Re: The "New Luxury Car" Price Check Thread | Track Discounts, Offers & Deals on Audi, BMW, Mercedes

So, I was casually browsing the BMW India website, and I saw that a brand new BMW X4 M40i is available with a dealer in Ranchi
The X4 is not even listed on the BMW India website anymore, so I'm not sure how it is still available and showing as In Stock with the Ranchi dealer.

If anyone is interested, they can check it out here. I think good discounts can be availed if negotiated well.

Note: I haven't called and confirmed with the dealer about the availability of this car, and this is solely based on the BMW India website listing.

You will nowadays spot quite a few supercars in Delhi, Bangalore, etc sporting MH plates! How times have changed, more than a decade back one would see most imports in Mumbai bearing DL, MP, PY, JH plates.

Hi Sohail

I assume you had checked this at BMW shop online website. I did the same for 620D there are quite a lot of stock available with that chennai dealer. But when enquired the SA said it’s all blocked or booked or waiting for delivery, hence the information is not right on the website.

Either the SA was pushing to sell the X3 which is getting replaced soon or the stock information on the website is not right.

They are providing some discounts based on the trade of the person buying the car. For eg, I was offered a 50k discount if I am an IEEE member. Same for Doctors and CAs etc.

Looks like an error, as it says the transmission is Manual, I have not heard of an X4 with MT launched.in India.

But in any case, it looks like a new shipment of cars has reached our shores, as there are dozens of X3 and X5s, added to the availability on the site as compared to last week. Discounts will galore towards the end of the year!

I also suspect the information on the website to be incorrect because, while attempting to book the car online out of curiosity, an error was encountered.
So, I requested a quote online, and BMW sent an email stating that a dealership associate would reach out with the details. Waiting to see if they will respond; will keep this thread updated.

Exactly my thoughts, I’ve never heard of a Manual X4 either.
The discounts right now are quite attractive too, I’m getting a pretty good deal on the X5 30d M Sport from both the Bangalore and Chandigarh dealer.
Even I am hopeful of better discounts towards the festive season and year end and hence holding out.

Could you please share the deals you are getting on the X5? The best I was able to score was 8 lacs off.

I have been offered a discount of 10 Lakh from Bangalore dealer & 11 Lakh from Chandigarh dealer, this includes a corporate discount of 1 Lakh.
Note: This discount is offered on X5 30d M Sport.

Re: The "New Luxury Car" Price Check Thread | Track Discounts, Offers & Deals on Audi, BMW, Mercedes

Hi All,

I have been in the market to get a luxury sedan, the BMW 320LD has pulled the strings in me. The quote I have received seems higher, kindly give it a look and suggest any scope for negotiation.

Ex showroom 62,00,000/
1% TCS 62,000/
Insurance 3,43,099/
Reg& Road tax 12,43,300/
Logistics 72,500/

Total 79,20,899/-

They are willing a total discount of Rs. 5,00,000/-

320LD Msport = Rs. 74,20,899/- (without BSI)
330i Msport = Rs. 77,70,8999/- (appx)

HI

Chennai has only one BMW show room. Please visit and ask for Mr. Rajassekar 9841113111. He shall be able to do this for much lesser price.

The insurance quote seems inflated. Please check with online vendors like Policy Bazaar and ACKO, compare them against the IDV and add-ons provided in the showroom’s insurance quote.

Kun has a BMW showroom in Chennai and dealerships in Bangalore, Hyderabad, Vizag, and other locations. It might be worthwhile to negotiate with Kun dealers in other states to secure a better deal.
Since Kun manages the dealership in Chennai, registering the car there shouldn’t be an issue, even if you purchase from a Kun dealer in another state.

Additionally, consider checking with dealers in the North, as they tend to offer more competitive deals. While registering the car in Chennai might be challenging if you buy from a North dealer, you could use their quotes as leverage to negotiate with your local dealer.

Re: The "New Luxury Car" Price Check Thread | Track Discounts, Offers & Deals on Audi, BMW, Mercedes

OT::

Mercedes is not offering any discounts on their poorly equipped GLS 450D it seems. They are although giving a discount on blue and grey coloured cars - Rs. 3 lacs and additional discount of 50k if you are an engineer or a doctor or member of EO.

That apart, I had been comparing what we get VS what the world gets in the GLS 450D and realised we are being short changed by quiet a lot!!
1. No cooled or heated cup holders.
2. Basic 13 speaker Burmester sound system - though it sounds good.
3. No 3D view speedo
4. Artificial leather or artico manmade as they call it. I call it premium rexine.
5. No cooled glovebox.
6. No Air Balance Package (available in gle)
7. No Energising package (available in gle)
8. No AMG steering wheel (the world gets it in 2024 facelift - we don't)
9. Front Bumper design is quite different. International one looks much better.
10. We get the ghastly new grill which feels like cheap plastic where as internationally you at least get shiny chrome. I am not a fan of chrome - but it looks much better than the "satin silver" grill they've given.
11. No HUD.
12. No option of getting their E-active body control even if you are willing to pay for it. I am made to believe it enhances the ride quality substantially.

So you do not get all this - and no discount on the vehicle either. Makes me wonder - should one spend 20 odd lacs more than a smaller sibling and get lesser features? Least they could've done was at least spec it slightly better than the GLE.
