2023 Honda City facelift spied for the first time in India. Spotted in Pune.

The City was on a flat bed, possibly going to or coming from ARAI (automotive research association of India). If this indeed is true, it seems Honda seems to have plans to launch the Verna, Slavia and Virtus rival pretty soon here.

Honda City facelift will boast updated styling that will be dominated mainly by revised bumpers, a new front grille, updated alloy wheels, and other subtle updates that give it a fresh look. In addition to this, it is also likely to be offered with other subtle styling tweaks like a new rear spoiler, updated LED lights, and more.

Honda is expected to offer the new Honda City only with petrol and strong hybrid engine options; launch likely in early 2023.

The upcoming Honda City facelift is likely to be offered with a long list of new features including a 360-degree camera, wireless charging, automatic climate control, and connected car tech

I think Honda is never lazy when you consider 'only' City nameplate. They make the updates at regular intervals as expected. Hope they would launch it by next year start.

Hopefully Honda improves the build quality, the infotainment, and provides hybrids in lower variants with this facelift

The current city looks like a copy of G20 3-series and this tail looks like Verna/Elantra. Someone ask the folks at Honda to use their left hand a little more conservatively.

IMHO Honda's design language really needs a fresh look. Their cars are simply boring. Seems like they just stopped innovating on the design front. Look at how amazing the old Civic looked at one time or the City with its arrow shot design. Even the dashboard is now uninspiring to say the very least. Their engines on the other hand are just amazing (remember the IVTEC from the City). Build quality is no where near the Germans (or their cousins for that matter) but then al buy the Jap cars for their engine reliability and lower maintenance costs. A little design soul searching would really help Honda. The "if it aint broke then why fix it" attitude only goes so far till the next disruption in the market. Look at what Skoda did.

What I want from the facelift -

1. A turbo petrol (won't come, sadly)
2. Better NVH, wheel well cladding
3. Higher res, smoother infotainment system and reverse camera (after using the infotainment screen on my friend's Taigun, my Honda City's unit just feels sad)
4. Better interior fitment quality
5. Hybrid option across the range
6. A stiffer/more enthusiast tuned suspension setup for a confidence inspiring high speed drive

Although ventilated seats and wireless charging with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto are good to have features, they aren't must have in my opinion.

I have the ZX 2021. Honda, please update the facelift with at least 3 things :

1. Ventilated seats
2. A proper touchscreen
3. LED headlamps that actually illuminate.

Basically, you don't want a Honda You should probably start wanting something else because these are not the things that Honda is going to give this time or likely anytime soon.

The facelift looks much better than the current version. It will likely also get ADAS, UV green cut glass.

Not just the current gen Honda City, Honda has been closely following the BMW 3-Series for 4 generations now, especially the taillamp design. 2003-08 generation (Dolphin) is the only exception.

I don't have much hope. My guess is it would be a 25th anniversary special edition City with some minor cosmetic updates and dealer level fitment.
