Here's how the city facelift stacks up against its rivals on the price graph.

+1.

But Honda sells around 500-600 Hybrids (i am guessing these numbers) and i know that they have difficulty in producing higher numbers due to various reason (not limited to components availability). So they are going for profits with smaller numbers which they can supply easily.

Overall the 1.5NA versions are priced fairly for the feature offered and biggest is still the fuss free ownership with City. City for sure gets a different attention from HCIL.

A bit overpriced for the the base hybrid variant. Atleast honda could have priced the base v hybrid variant for 17.5 which would be a sweat deal for many. Nonetheless, the new city will sell because of its name and reliability.

Yes, they are fixed.
I think the reason is there is no space for adjustable headrests to move.

re: Honda City Facelift launched at Rs. 11.49 lakhs

So three out of four variants get Honda Sensing (including the V which doesn't even have curtain airbags). That is some serious commitment to active safety, although personally I think LaneWatch would be more useful in India than AEB and lane support. Also, the City we export to Mexico has rear seatbelt reminders, and considering how much this car focuses on the rear seat, those would have been nice. Overall I think the safety equipment list is impressive and better than what even VW Group presently offers for the same price, although an independent crash test rating would seal the deal.

I am not going to comment on the other updates because frankly I don't see any.

re: Honda City Facelift launched at Rs. 11.49 lakhs

The improvements in V variants are a lot when compared to the pre facelift version. I wish Honda had introduced better gear ratios than the current one. 50 to 70 in second and 100 to 120 in third take lot of time. Moreover I hope they have done something about the rattling of plastic piece that is the base of the wiper assembly (what is the word? Capetoll?)

The difference between V & ZX in e:HEV is 1.5 Lakhs but in ICE is 2.35 lakhs.
Clearly Honda is asking for a premium for their Hybrid Variants.
I doubt it will sell more than 1000 units a month.
But definitely people who are planning to buy should wait for the end of the year discounts from Honda.

Please post it in the forum what can be retrofitted in the 2022 model. I too have a 2022 one, pretty keen on some of the features.

Same here bought it exactly 7 months, really love to have some of these features.

Additionally I thought they would make it 6 airbags in all versions due to the impending rule, looks like they were afraid of the steep price hike it might bring when compared to the existing version.

re: Honda City Facelift launched at Rs. 11.49 lakhs

Honda have added the lane watch camera to the VX trim but have omitted the 16 inch rims, auto dimming IRVM, 8 speaker setup, leather wrapped gear knob and steering wheel as well as the digital speedometer which was present in the pre-facelift variant. It is no longer a lucrative choice for prospective buyers who'd be coaxed into shelling out more for the ZX trim to get the whole package.

Instead of cosmetic tweaks on the outside, Honda should've provided ventilated seats and a 360 camera package or at least factory fitted front parking sensors. The infotainment screen still looks like an aftermarket afterthought and not a neat ensemble with the interiors as should've been the case. The permanent discontinuation of adjustable rear headrests is also quite inexplicable.

I'm wondering whether the wireless charger accessory in the picture above is provided separately by Honda? I've got a 2017 honda city and was thinking to try it out.

re: Honda City Facelift launched at Rs. 11.49 lakhs

Where is the facelift? After all the hullabaloo on social media, the car still looks the same. The infotainment system looking like an aftermarket unit from 2016 was one of the major drawbacks and that still looks the same. Whole interior looks dated because of it. How is this supposed to compete with the VW 2.0 cars?
