The Skoda Kushaq Anniversary Edition has been spotted at a dealer yard. The new special edition variant is likely to be launched this festive season.



The spy images suggest that the Anniversary Edition could be offered in at least two colours – Candy White and Carbon Steel. The SUV gets a silver decal on the C-pillar with the ‘Anniversary Edition’ text. It also has 17-inch alloy wheels, door edge guards and a silver strip on the side cladding.



The Kushaq is offered with a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine that makes 113 BHP and 178 Nm and a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine that puts out 148 BHP and 250 Nm. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual, 6-speed automatic and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic that is available with the 1.5-litre motor. We still don’t know which of these engines will be offered in the Anniversary Edition.

Skoda Kushaq Anniversary Edition to be priced between Rs 15.59 lakh and Rs 19.09 lakh.
Commands a premium of Rs 30,000 over the Style trim.
Main addition is the 10-inch infotainment system with wireless smartphone connectivity and subwoofer.
Gets a couple of cosmetic enhancements and dealer-level accessories.
Offered with 1-litre and 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engines.

There are also a couple of accessories that will be fitted at the dealer-level for this particular edition. It includes:

Chrome inserts for the front grille
Door sunshades
Cushion and neck pillows
3D rubber mat
Mud flaps
Sunblinds for rear windows
Key fob cover
Body cover

One of my favourites in the segment, especially with that lovely 1.5L motor. Instead of "anniversary" edition, I wish Skoda had launched a "safety" edition to celebrate the GNCAP 5-star rating. Maybe thrown in a dashcam (for safety) too.

I completely second this. This was a huge opportunity for Skoda to drive in Indias Safest Car achievement.

Skoda VW still need PR and campaigns to drive in any small or big changes to percolate to customer as its mostly not on the watchlist of masses.

To be able to draw even 10% additional volumes from Hyryder Grand Vitarra Creta Seltos they need campaigns.

If I remember correctly, Kushaq was launched in June 2021 and wondering what anniversary they are celebrating in October. It looks like they have a possible limited supply of 10 inch touch screen infotainment system and does not want to lose the 30K margin opportunity. So got a new variant. Anyway, make hay while sun shines.

So, basically they are just charging a 30K premium for something that was already provided initially and then discontinued.

For each their own, but personally hate driving a car which has Anniversary edition written over it.
But hope Skoda sees increase in their sales with the recent GNCAP rating. Kushaq is a great car which deserves to sell much higher numbers.

Skoda Kushaq Anniversary Edition launched at Rs. 15.59 lakh

Skoda has announced the launch of the Kushaq Anniversary Edition. The SUV is priced from Rs. 15.59 lakh (ex-showroom).



The Kushaq Anniversary Edition is based on the Style variant. It comes with ‘Anniversary Edition’ decals and also gets door-edge protectors and chrome garnish along the doors.



More importantly, the special edition Kushaq comes equipped with a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, offering Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. The SUV also gets features like rain-sensing wipers, automatic climate control and cruise control.

The Kushaq Anniversary Edition is available with 1.0-litre and 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engines. The former makes 113 BHP and 178 Nm and is paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic, while the larger 1.5-litre unit puts out 148 BHP and 250 Nm and gets an optional 7-speed DSG.

Sneaky part is that there are certain specific VINs of the Style AT which already has the 10.25" screen, subwoofer & virtual cockpit with select dealers.

This is just Skoda's way to get an easy 30K from customers. And yes, the 10.25 is back.

I’m getting a 1.5 DSG this year but ,looks like they have deleted the digital cluster from the anniversary edition so, currently there are 2 options-

Option 1. Get the regular version with 8” infotainment and digital cockpit

Option 2. Get the anniversary edition with 10” infotainment and skoda sound (sub+amp) with analog dials cockpit.

Members ,please help me take the decision. I’m more inclined towards options 1 as digital cockpit can’t be installed as an aftermarket accessory.

FYI, I didn’t like the monte carlo’s interior (red accents) also, there is only two exterior colour option.

Isn't the 8" screen essentially better overall in terms of responsiveness and sharpness?

The 10.25" vs 8" debate is like comparing a retina/high ppi screen when it was first introduced to the screens of the day, smaller but better and sharper by far (and gets the job done)

Not that I have a horse in this race. Just curious about the specs and I remembered the uproar too back when it was announced. I mean, it's important, sure, but is it REALLY that important? Am I missing something?

I have been allotted this config of Style AT but it looks like they are slapping the screen and sub on older unsold inventory. It was manufactured in May as per the VIN shared by them. Now I’m confused whether to take it or not.

The price difference between this and the regular Style is a bit murky - not a clear 30k for sure.

A dealer I spoke to today says there's an extra 15k cash discount in play from Skoda (along with the existing 15k plus 4 yr service package) only for the anniversary edition. To add to that, how much the bonus accessories and (mostly) cosmetic mods are worth is, of course, down to personal tastes/priorities.

The dealer could of course be blowing steam.
