IMHO that wouldn't matter to Maruti. Primary reason being the mammoth waiting period for Thar. I don't think Maruti will have such huge waiting period issues. The last I've enquired about the Thar, I was told the waiting period is 10 months.

Any update on availability of AT? The interior photographs show MT only?

There should have been a beige colour/ sand brown colour and a foliage green/ deep green colour also.

They are using the K15B engine - which is what can be mounted on the transverse layout. And Suzuki has not invested in R&D to develop the 6-speed AT for the K15B architecture.

Yes, it gets the 4-speed AT the previous gen Vitara Brezza used to get.
