Re: A Close Look | Jet Editions of the Tata Safari, Harrier, Nexon & Nexon EV

That's the reality of modern products. No matter what kind of products you buy you will always have the chance of facing buyer's remorse. Your comparison with iPhone might make sense but if I start comparing with the say computer components like CPUs and Graphics Cards, I can be in a similar situation. You never know when a new GPU/CPU will hit the market and the announcement for the new version can be made the next day you spent ₹1 lakh on the latest CPU/GPU.

I still think constantly refreshing a product is a step in the right direction. From a company's stand point, it keeps the product fresh in the consumer's mind. Also, the competition is constantly churning out new features and keeping up with the competition means constantly playing catch up.

I don't know why but I have a feeling Tata wants to have the most number of limited edition cars in India by overtaking VW India.

I'm glad that the rear wiper in the Nexon is still there. Hope it remains or will be only available in these limited edition cars?

Re: A Close Look | Jet Editions of the Tata Safari, Harrier, Nexon & Nexon EV

Before you go any further on this thread do a google search for the substantial number of problems experienced by bhpians with Harrier and Safaris.

2 days ago a bhpian was asked to pay 50K for a small broken lever of a seat, denied warranty, and made to pay for an entire seat because the child part was not available.

https://www.team-bhp.com/forum/techn...c-failure.html (Never-ending niggles & issues with my 2022 Tata Harrier | Tata Motors QC is a failure)

So extrapolating this approach to the jet version, they could ask you to pay for the entire car should something go wrong as its a limited edition and no child parts would be available.

Take a look at the number of threads about issues faced by customers with the Harrier and Safari- here are some:

1. https://www.team-bhp.com/forum/techn...c-failure.html (Never-ending niggles & issues with my 2022 Tata Harrier | Tata Motors QC is a failure)

6. https://www.team-bhp.com/news/found-...-doing-pdi?amp

There’s still a lot more such threads if, in one of your weaker moments, picking up a Tata crossed your mind..

Tata Nexon Jet Edition discontinued.

Instagram Post

Would be great if there was sales data on how successful the edition was.

That is good news! Earlier, Tata discontinued some other limited editions of Nexon, and now the Jet edition as well.

The Nexon lineup was a mess. I am happy to see that Tata is simplifying their lineup and trying to help the customers make their decisions.

On a different note, does this mean that Tata is trying to reduce the production of the current generation Nexon for the upcoming face-lift or the next generation (I don't know whether to call it next-gen or facelift!)

The Nexon Prime EV Jet Edition brought in tangible new features - auto-hold, disc brakes on all wheels, "P" gear position and ESC. I hope that these features will now be offered in the non-Jet edition version.
