Found latest picture of a test mule

1) Good sneak peak into Dashboard design - it is completely black and has horizontal lines running across with big floating screen in middle

2) Gear lever is new. Centre console has buttons on sides with silver strip separating it from gear lever

3) Roof lining continuous to be light grey/ whitish

4) The front fascia is looking much more sharper. Minimal changes seem to be there at back (most likely only connecting led tail lights would be something new)

5) Alloys are same as current ones

6) No visible change in stearing wheel design

7} Seats and interiors continue to be in beige colour (unlike all black interiors expected like in Almaz RS Pro)

My bad! I meant 19.7L ex-sh is current price and 1.5 lakhs over and above that this new gen may command (effectively increase on road price in NCR from 22Lakhs to ~24lakhs). Thanks for correcting.

First giving the ZS ev a similar grill from the hyundai Kona electric and now the Hector gets a similar grill to the hyundai alcazar
Wish MG would stop trying to copy hyundai's grills and just improve that ugly rear.

Interesting how they timed this teaser to coincide with Tucson launch today, even though both are in different segments!

I will wait for real pictures of car to come out, before passing my judgement on how it looks. I prefer larger grille of Hector+ compared to Hector, as it makes it look more imposing and is to great extent de-chromed.

MG is going with the global trend visible in 2022/23 facelifts - (1) Larger grille on SUVs & (2) Connected tail lamp (expected)

In any case, after Tucson's insanely high pricing, it is also out of my reach. Now, I have huge expectations from Hector new gen as my next car and can only hope that it doesn't disappoint.

I received the same information from the sales guy when I visited my local Hector dealership last week.

Regarding the looks: It reminds me of the huge grills on the Chrysler cars in the US.

That is one very garish grille design in my opinion. The best part of the Hector was always the front. With this update, the front looks very Chintzy

That's the Chinese brand experience for you. If they can literally copy Range Rover, Rolls, BMW, Merc, Porsche, and even Maruti 800, this is just a piece of the copy cake. There is nothing in Hector or even MG as a brand that is British, except the name of the brand itself.

Regular updates to existing models by MG is really commendable. They kind of set the benchmarks for other manufacturers to follow. The very first Hector in 2019 came with connected car tech, 2021 with ventilated seats, wireless charging and 18 inch tyres and now 2022 with HD screen and ADAS level 2.

Now this is what is real competition, to match component quality, ride comfort, technology and after sales service. Yes, easy way out is to call it Chinese and bury your head in sand.
