Kia India sales cross the 5 lakh mark in under 3 years

I think this is a massive achievement in India, 5 lakh in 3 years and with only 4 cars on offer.

KIA has understood us, the Indian Consumers and have cracked what we want in our cars.

At a time when some manufacturers are giving up, KIA has shown how it is done with a limited, targeted, well thought out, well packaged and extremely well executed products.

We can debate the GNCAP scores all day long and KIA will keep selling cars with huge waiting on most of the cars.

KIA have surely understood the market, cashing in on the SUV craze that too with loads of engine and gearbox options to choose from in each of their models. The technology, the design, the engine and gearbox combos all mesh well together to form a desirable car. No wonder all their mass market cars are a success. Be it Seltos, Sonet or the Carens, KIA knows its customers and what they want.

KIA have absolutely smashed the market.

Right set of engine options - Diesel, Turbo Petrol & NA Petrol
Fantastic transmission options - Manual, IVT, IMT & Torque Convertor

And they have been helped by the pricing of the competitors. e.g. the pricing of XL6 and Brezza has made Seltos and Sonet VFM

Absolutely, love my Seltos DCT. Interior fit and finish is fantastic and really well thought features. Turbo petrol engine and DCT combo with host of comfort features is deadly combo. More like driving VW + Hyundai at the same time.
