If these are the pricing for the strong hybrids, then Toyota Hyrdrer to be cheaper than its Suzuki's siblings.

All other variants Maruti Suzuki will have the price advantage.

Have the prices of Toyota HyRyder been officially released ? What is the basis of your statement? Or is that from your sources ?

Having a further lower variant is what makes it affordable. How do we interpret that it will be cheaper variant to variant?

Re: 2022 Maruti Grand Vitara to debut on July 20 | Pre-bookings open

Most of us have now seen Grand Vitara or Hyryder and it seems the initial impressions are almost the same now it all boils down to the pricing from Maruti & Toyota.

Was able to spend some time with Grand Vitara at nearest nexa showroom ,Hyryder will arrive next week to my nearest Toyota dealership.

Already plethora of images have been shared don’t want to add on more images one thing I noticed in Grand Vitara is that the engine bay is in direct contact with front wheel cladding means no metal sheet for any protection don’t know if it’s the same case with hyryder as well.

In my 2016 brezza you can clearly see a metal sheet.

Here is how the Grand Vitara /HYryder twins will compete with its peers as per the 'speculated pricing'

Re: 2022 Maruti Grand Vitara to debut on July 20 | Pre-bookings open

It's an unusual situation as the top variant of the GV weak hybrid is at 15L.

Then they also have AWD at 15.5L and strong hybrids at 17L 18L. I find it inappropriate to compare AWD or strong hybrids with top petrol models of other brands in terms of pricing.

Do any of the options listed above have AWD? Surely none has a strong hybrid.

Any thoughts ?

If this pricing turns out to be true, surely the waiting list of all other cars will come down.

Got this from the sales guy at the Kandivali W showroom today. The Grand Vitara is definitely going to be on display at the showroom tomorrow and day after tomorrow.

Re: 2022 Maruti Grand Vitara to debut on July 20 | Pre-bookings open

I'd take the "leak" of prices with a generous dose of salt.

The top end Brezza AT sells at 14L ex-showroom. It appears very unlikely that the top end mild-hybrid Grand Vitara - which is larger and offers more features - would sell at just a 1 lakh more. With pricing like this, the positioning would be net-net negative for Maruti's margins.

I agree. If this turns out to be true, I for one would be awfully disappointed because I have my eyes on the AWD. I dont understand why maruti would set a 2 Lakh price difference for an AWD over its identical 2WD version. Correct me if I am wrong but I dont think any manufacturer in india charges that much (perhaps even abroad). They all seem to have the difference at around 1 Lakh to 1.5 Lakh. Could it be because of the Suzuki Allgrip technology?

Fingers crossed. For all we know it could rise even more above the 'leaks'.

I think Maruti has totally shot themselves in the foot with the Brezza. I know it will sell adequate numbers but its now an offering that finds itself nowhere. They seem to have overthought and overcooked the handling of their product because of its massive success since its launch both in terms of pricing and product placement. Its now firmly treading the territory of the Creta and Seltos when you compare the variants.

So it would not surprise me if the mild hybrid Grand Vitara is just 1 Lakh more than the brezza AT like you mentioned. I feel the Grand vitara is priced right, its just an issue of the Brezza being priced wrong. Lets not forget Maruti is trying to break into a segment where the other manufacturers have a stranglehold. If they dont price it aggressively against the likes of the creta and the seltos they run the very real risk of the Grand Vitara tanking and them losing further ground in the larger scheme of things.

Yes, the leaked prices look too good to be true, but since the Brezza has a 1.5L engine it loses its tax benefit of being a sub 4 metre car and is taxed at the same rate as that of larger cars, which may in fact be the reasoning behind the rather small price premium of the Grand Vitara over the Brezza.

If the pricing is going to be this attractive then the waiting period on both Grand Vitara and Hyryder will go through the roof.
Affordability is a magic pill which makes a lot of us compromise on certain creature comforts and eyesoars.

If this turns out to be true, it will revive some value in the market. Competitors will be compelled to come with lower priced variants, or higher discounts. In one word, it will REBOOT the market, and that is the need of the hour, given the way prices have been skyrocketing in the last couple of years.

May the higher powers make this a reality.

I reckon the panoramic sun roof eats into the headroom of the rear occupants in the higher variants. Hope it is not the case in the lower variants of the Grand Vitara.

Meanwhile, Mahindras are reporting 1,00,000 bookings for Scorpio N in the first 30 mins. In the first minute, they received 25,000 bookings.
