Yes, they are rotating the same car throughout showrooms in NCR. This is the schedule I received.

Well said. But we like to copy feature from the world class cars. We lives in tropical zone but still love the Sunroof ! We like to have eye blinder DRL as fancy feature

Does the AWD feature is only available with sunroof equipped version ? I am planning for a car without a sunroof feature.

Getting a kind of "Zen Estilo-ish" feeling seeing your note w.r.t. the original Grand Vitara. Happy to be proved wrong many times over.

Re: 2022 Maruti Grand Vitara to debut on July 20 | Pre-bookings open

The product looks great with the rightly judged feature mix. Can the Maruti-Suzuki combine overcome the first mover advantage that similarly impacted the Swift diesel and the Brezza which went on to reset the monthly numbers of the respective segments?

Given the not so great sales impression of the 1.4GDI in the segment, I don't think engines will be a great deal breaker as long as they deliver. Plus this comes with the first in class hybrid and AWD capabilities. Not to mention the benefit of Toyota manufacturing it.

Drive on,
Shibu.

Unfortunately yes. Even I was looking for a non sunroof variant but anybody opting for AWD does not have an option of AT and non-sunroof.

I want to appreciate Maruti to bring this allgrip but with the same 1.5NA engine and tall gearing, it does raise some doubts whether one will be even able to utilize that AWD.

Utiling AWD does not have much to do with engine power. The only thing that AWD does is to send whatever power there is to all 4 wheel maximising traction. Plus more complicated distribution techniques like sending more power to wheels that have grip and so on. Without traction you might have 1000 bhp and it won't really matter.

The old Gypsy had what you would term as an underpowered engine by today's standards but was so competent that even our armed forces made good use of it.

Whether users actually use it/need it or not is a different question. The point I was making is that it is a key feature differentiator.

That gypsy reference has been on my mind ever since i got to know the power of 1.5 NA engine.

Thanks for sharing this. My interest in GV/Hyryder is purely because of this AWD variant. Seems it will suffice my needs of mostly tarmac touring up in north. I struggled badly with Figo in last year end trip to snow clad Manali and Sissu roads. I don't intend to do river crossings with this, but gravel roads, snow and ice covered roads(with a decent tyre change) is what i plan to tackle with this AWD. Obviously a lot depends on how one is skilled to use these aids. Hopefully I will learn that over time.

- Grand Vitara AWD in AT could be considered at a later date, based on customer feedback:

- Grand Vitara will be assessed on Bharat NCAP safety norms.

Maruti Suzuki ups the SUV game with the launch of Grand Vitara.

Quote:
Maruti Suzuki and Toyota plan to produce 18,000-19,000 units a month of the new jointly developed SUV.

Of this, Maruti Suzuki plans to sell about 13,000 units a month, while the remaining will be sold by Toyota under the badge of Hyryder.
