In my opinion, The Grand Vitara looks better than the Hyryder. Hyryder looks like Punch from the front.

My choice is going to be the 1.5 Manual with AWD

One thing that surprises me is that some features are exclusive to Intelligent Electric Hybrid top end variant only. The same goes for Toyota Hyrider variants.

I really like how it looks. Better than Toyota Hyryder imo, but idk why they chose to have brown color instead of Black. It would've looked great in Black color.

LOL, they provided the same interiors for the GV as well! This time even VW-Skoda avoided that blunder, they completely made the interiors and exteriors look different in their sedans and SUVs to cater to different customers.
Anyways it won't matter much to MS, people are gonna buy the car no matter what.
Also, what is that mileage? 28 km/L. Is this the peak/maximum mileage they claim or is it the average?
I am afraid that they might have compromised the build quality and the materials used in that car to achieve this mammoth of a mileage!
Also, do you guys think white is a good colour for the GV? Considering the design of this car, it might look too bland imo.

If you look at the brochure, you will find that this 28 kmpl is claimed for strong hybrid variants, whereas for the weak hybrid, it is mentioned around 20 kmpl.

Strong hybrids using the Atkinson cycle can offer 30-40% higher fuel efficiency vs the weak hybrids (Otto cycle)

Yup buddy, I know this mileage is for the strong hybrid variant. I was just confused if this claimed mileage of 28km/L is the maximum achievable mileage or an average? Basically, would we get this mileage in real life conditions?

I would think of it as ARAI or equivalent mileage, but I am cautious about this being achievable in real world.

The variant naming makes more sense compared to the Hyryder. The Brochure is easier to understand.

21.11 (MT), 20.58 (AT), 19.38 (AllGrip MT) Fuel Efficiencies look good for Mild Hybrid, but the real-world efficiencies need to be checked.

Rain Sensing Wipers seem to be missing.

Maruti seems to have gone the opposite way compared to Toyota, with Brown and Black Dual Tone Interiors for Mild Hybrid and All Black for Strong Hybrid.

Finally Maruti has revealed the Grand Vitara. To me, it looks better than the Hyryder.

If I have to buy one, I would have been interested in AT All Grip which sadly isn't being offered. If I have to buy a 5MT All Grip at nearly 20L, I must stretch for a proper 4×4 ScorpioN rather than spend so much on this.

The only variant that impresses me is the Alpha + in Hybrid avatar. The real world mileage will vary between 25kmpl to 30kmpl depending on the driving cycle.

Surprisingly, there is no photograph of the boot either in the brochure or the official images. Maruti has definitely read the Hyryder thread.

I also don't see any mention of the Green Glass or the UV cut glasses like that in Hyryder.
