Re: Rumour: Toyota Innova Crysta to be sold alongside next-gen model

All this news is pointing towards the actual vehicle to be nothing but Toyota Rush,
which is a 7 seat monocoque vehicle and now upgraded to hybrid engine.
And fits the bill perfectly of a under 20 Lakhs vehicle below Innova.

Pretty sure you meant some other model. The Rush is still RWD (not sure if monocoque or BoF), while the new FWD monocoque Avanza doesn't seem to have a hybrid version till now.

Would have loved if they launched the Rush here, or the previous gen Avanza, but looks like we won't be getting any of the DNGA based vehicles. Reports say the new MPV is based on the TNGA-C platform.

Re: Rumour: Toyota Innova Crysta to be sold alongside next-gen model

Apart from mere speculations, what has been officially out till date is only the trademarked name.

'Innova Hicross' suggets that a) it's to be in the innova family, b) it's to be a hybridge engine and c) it's to be a crossover.

As such, I strongly feel that we are going to have two different versions of Innova; the retained Crysta as MUV, targeting fleet customers and the oncoming CUV targeting private buyers.
