My mistake. Just found out that the parametric grill blocks are covered in something called “dark chrome”, not piano black finish. If it’s anything like regular chrome, should be pretty durable.

The 1.0 turbo has no manual option at all. IMT and DCT only.

Hyundai seem to have messed up the models.

The Venue was never a looker and it seems to look better with the update IMO

I'm quite surprised that Hyundai decided to omit fog lamps all together. I know for a fact that Venue headlights weren't good enough before (halogen projector) and with this new unit shared with the i20, they probably won't be upto the mark either.

With so many plug and play mods available for fog lamps lighting upgrade now, i see this as a big miss.

Venue SX at 10.70 Lakhs with 1.2L engine.

Honda City V 4th gen at 9..99 Lakhs with 1.5L engine.

Pick your car wisely. I will buy Honda city eyes closed.

Re: The Hyundai Venue N Line & Facelift. EDIT: 2022 Venue facelift launched at Rs. 7.53 lakh

Surprised to see that Hyundai is somehow still able to sell a car of this segment with a lackluster 1.2 NA petrol engine. This engine if I am not wrong felt quite underpowered in the Elite i20. How is the real world drivability of this engine in Hyundai Venue?

OTOH, another surprise being that the 1.0L Turbo is being offered without a manual gearbox. Come on Hyundai! Why take your Indian customers for granted?

I guess it may have to do with support for Amazon Echo (Alexa) devices in the top 2 variants. But then, this is just a guess.

There is no official statement from Hyundai. Not sure about the exact reason? either should be
  • Change in the Suspension
  • Change in the roof rails design width

For Hyundai Pricing strategy. I just comparing Venue to Kia Carens. There is no sense to compare this Venue Facelift to a different segment like Carens etc.

Venue 1.2L MT petrol Vs Carens 1.5L MT Petrol:

The Hyundai Venue N Line & Facelift. EDIT: 2022 Venue facelift launched at Rs. 7.53 lakh-carens.png

Soruce: Carwale
  • Hyundai Venue S(0) 1.2L petrol is almost equal price of Kia Carens Premium 1.5L petrol
  • Hyundai Venue SX 1.2L petrol is almost equal price of Kia Carens Prestige 1.5L petrol
Almost all the variants in Venue look into the premium pricing.Kia Carens looks value for money still.(after increasing the price in 2nd time)

Re: The Hyundai Venue N Line & Facelift. EDIT: 2022 Venue facelift launched at Rs. 7.53 lakh

As a previous gen owner ( SX Option Turbo MT), I find the midlife refresh pretty good. They have rounded few sharp edges around the car and it looks slightly better than the odd-ball design first gen had.

I really think Hyundai should have kept pure MT with iMT for those who wanted it but for the regular people it won't be a dealbreaker.

Same here, I have City 5th Gen in the extended family and although it's no match for the 1.0 Turbo, it will drive circles around the 1.2L everytime. The only reason we got Venue because of that cracker of an engine and the road quality around my hometown.

City will give you better mileage than the 1.2 as well, we had the 1.2 on our last gen i20 and it was neither fast nor fuel efficient.

Re: The Hyundai Venue N Line & Facelift. EDIT: 2022 Venue facelift launched at Rs. 7.53 lakh

Being a Venue owner this update seems to be a refreshing one, but Hyundai has messed it up big time with variants. The only reason I went for Venue SX at that time was that even the 2nd top variant (SX) had almost all the features of SX (O) like a sunroof, diamond cut alloys etc with an ex-showroom of below 10L.

The story now is totally different, I can understand the reason behind stopping 1.0 manual but why can't they have SX iMT, they have S(O) or SX(O). So if someone prefers to get a car with top-line features he/she is now forced to get SX(O) which is a whopping 14.5L in Chennai. Just for records, I bought it for a shade over 11L 3 years back, not a surprise to me that Hyundai is losing to TATA.

It's a never-ending story of Hyundai and Automatics. But, it's beyond me to understand the logic behind not providing Diesel Automatic when Kia Sonnet provides its customers.

The story becomes even more worst when I saw a video on youtube, 1.2 SX gets a wheel cover, not an alloy wheel. WHAT?? A car costing over 13L with a wheel cover?? Well done Hyundai, you are slowly losing respect from a Hyundai Fan Please do something and gain it back before my next purchase (7 seater) in a year or a 2, else for sure I will look other than Hyundai

Lastly, if I am in the market will I buy Venue now? Definitely not

The difference between Hyundai turbo DCT SX(O) and Kia GTX+ DCT is just 50k, with later offer Bose sound system, ventilated seats and upmarket feel (as s compared to Venue). Anyone would choose Sonet over Venue eyes closed. Kia is way more VFM in my opinion now than ever. Grab Sonet before it's facelift.

A good update by Hyundai to take the game up in the segment. While I am not a fan of their front grille and whitish interiors, the vehicle does look more classy.
Fail to understand that while S & S+/ S(O) get wireless Android Auto & CarPlay, the top end SX(O) does not get that!

Either way it must be some compatability issues with Bluelink or Alexa. Otherwise it doesnot make sense offering wireless connectivity only in lower variants.

I love the fact that there are separate shortcut buttons in addition to the touchscreen functionality. Plus I simply love a knob for volume control. Call me old school - but a rotary knob for volume feels even better than steering controls for me.
