RSA is covered with the standard warranty. You may purchase for 4th and 5th year separately which should cost you around 2500+GST.

Please be cautious about a recent con that has been going around with XUV700 buyers where 5 years RSA is being offered for 4000 or 5000. This is fake and please do not fall for this.

I am surprised how these guys get hold of phone numbers of the customers who have got delivery of the new XUV. Definitely someone is leaking data

I had tried to book on the portal on the 7th, but it failed. On the 8th Mahindra called saying I would still be eligible for the price protection if I transferred the booking amount online which I did at about 8 pm.
AX7L D AT White at NBS Andheri. Got delivery on December 24th.

Cheers!

Yes I got a call too and they offered me the RSA for 15 years! I hung up!

Are you sure about this? As for me I had to purchase the RSA for Rs 3020 for the first 3 years itself. I was told it is not covered under standard warranty (first 3 years)

Cheers!

15 year RSA is an overkill. If I were a fraudster (which i do not want to be by any stretch of imagination) still I would have thought of something more sensible. 15 Years, hardly anyone retains his/ her vehicle for so long.

I received a call like you said some days back. I told the lady that the car already has RSA still I will contact my dealership if I have any questions. She said ok. I knew instantly these were fraud calls. Surprised that they have started scamming using a car's RSA too

I have not paid single penny for the RSA to the dealer. You may want to check with your dealer and also report this matter to Mahindra customer service.
Just had a call with Mahindra customer care. RSA is standard and included in the vehicle package for the 1st 3 years. Post that, customers can purchase it on a yearly basis for upto 8 years. Hope this helps.

Re: Beware of RSA scam calls

The best way to buy/ renew Mahindra's RSA is either through the dealership, or through the With You Hamesha (WYH) app.

My Thar came with 1st year RSA (it was a separate line item, not included in OTR, and I renewed it for 5 years through WYH app. It now gives me an option for 6th year RSA alone -

I received this call couple of days ago, with 5 years RSA being offered for just 4000 Rupees. Wasn't aware that it's a Nation wide phenomenon. What's weird was that they had all details about my XL6, where it's serviced etc.

Re: Beware of RSA scam calls

Hi BHPians,

Few months back, I received similar RSA scam call. I posted that experience in the thread “Fake/ Fraud/ Scam calls” on October 2021.

Re-sharing it in this thread:

She says that we are providing you 3 years Roadside Assistance (RSA) service. They know everything about me like - my name, car model, address etc.
She said your RSA card is activated which is applicable all over India.

She just wanted to confirm my address. I was curious because I've already purchased RSA & Extended Warranty till 5 years at the time of car purchase.
I thought these guys have a tie-up with Ford so they may be sending me a RSA card for the extended years.
Upon asking her if there's any charges, she said 4,000.

I got furious & told her to not call me again.

This proves that whatever car we purchase, all our details are out in the open to these kind of companies. Our Privacy is at risk here.

Re: Beware of RSA scam calls

Hello all,

Got a similar call few days back in relation to my newly purchased A4 - asking my permission to send over the rsa card upon payment of INR 5k. I vehemently declined and hung up as I knew no one other than my dealership would contact me for such things.

Wow, looking at this thread, this seems to be operating at a fairly large scale. Heck, they even got hold of the exact car model and address! Definitely seems like there's a leak coming from the RTO, given that this is happening with cars purchased across multiple different dealerships.

Beware, please!

Re: Beware of RSA scam calls

Got similar calls twice in 5 months regarding my purchase of Altroz. They had details which a dealership may have. They pester me into buying RSA, claiming it would "Expire" if not bought today. I guess someone in the dealership network is leaking customer data to these people for a cut in between.

Re: Beware of RSA scam calls

Wow, I thought I was the only one.

Have recently bought a Pre owned Skoda Karoq, with the RC transfer still pending with the RTO (Delhi).
Got 2 calls from some RSA saying that as a part of Skoda warranty, they are sending the RSA card at my address (they had the details of the car, my address etc), asking very confidently if I will pay with cash or Paytm.

Initially I told them to come over & deliver the card, they asked for directions etc, but kept pestering me on mode of payment, which got me suspicious.

When I said I need to read the T&C & paperwork & will pay only after that, they disconnected & did not call back.

Re: Beware of RSA scam calls

I also got a call 3 days back. Caller claimed to be from Honda. I asked what address she had, on which she changed the conversation to "sir, you can pay to delivery agent." She claimed that RSA will be valid for 15 years and also covers engine and gearbox, as a part of standard warranty. I understood something was fishy, as RSA and warranty are 2 different products and Honda provides max warranty of 10 years.

I enquired about her name and office she was calling from, as I also work for Honda (I do not), that is when she disconnected the call.

Re: Beware of RSA scam calls

I was expecting a different type of RSA scam call. This happened to my in laws. They were involved in a pretty bad crash and they had called up their RSA (ICICI Lombard). Promptly they recieved a call from a tow driver after calling the rsa hotline. That guy showed up in half an hour and loaded the car and were on the way to the workshop when they get a call from the RSA saying they were happy to inform that a provider was assigned and they would be reaching out shortly. And ANOTHER GUY calls up claiming to be from the RSA, and the guy they're with denies that he's with any free RSA and demands to be paid . My relatives are weary from the crash and put up with his demand.

So next time you call RSA, and someone calls you back, confirm with the RSA that this is the right guy and not some scammer who got your number unofficially

Noone wants to make a honest living anymore. Why dont people understand karma is a b*tch.
