That is Sabanahalli Lake, so ya it seems the venue was Prestige near Nandi hills.

Hyundai can just match the price with Jeep and see majority of customers convert.

Correct. This is the newly opened JW Marriott Hotel at Prestige Golfshire Resort and Spa near Nandi Hills/ Bengaluru Airport.

Totally agreed ! If Hyundai keeps the pricing in check, it would be the next Indian sweetheart.

Some of the numbers in this slide seem a little odd to me:

First, they say the 2nd row headroom has gone up by 21mm. But the overall height is up only by 5mm, the ground clearance is up 9mm (172mm in the old to 181mm in the new). Where have the found the extra 21mm of headroom then? A very common complaint with the old Tucson was that the rear seat was set too low, did they move the seat even lower here? Have they just reclined the seat a little and drawn a longer, inclined straight line to get more headroom numbers? Did they use a different "average height of the average adult" value?

Next, they mention that the boot space is up by 56 liters from the old 484 liters. But the old Tucson in India was always listed as either 513 or 530 liters (even in Team-BHP's reviews). We know that different manufacturers calculate boot space differently, but here its Hyundai in both sides of the comparo.

Are they retroactively short-changing the old Tucson to make the new one look even better?

Is it a 6 speed automatic or a 8 speed automatic, two introductory pictures give two different values?

Spotted this car in Chennai traffic a couple of days back and looks big when compared to other cars on the road .

Could see bikers turning back and looking at the light illumination and traffic slowing around the car .

How come RTOs are from Davanagere, Jnanabharathi and TN ?
Do they belong to these RTOs since they will be test drive vehicles in respective dealerships ?

I know looks are purely subjective, but I think it will look even more odd on our roads. Most vehicles plying on our roads are quite simplistic in design front compared to Europe.
Precisely!!! I was thinking of the exact same thing. This car, pitched in the same segment as the C5 Aircross looks weird in comparison as tough it is a work of origami craft. I prefer clean uncluttered lines. It's not just about simplicity, I feel Hyundai has tried too hard to make the car stand out. The interiors/features on the other hand are top notch (at least on paper). Hyundai has definitely hit the ball out of the park on that front.

re: 4th-Gen Hyundai Tucson spotted testing in India. EDIT: Launched at Rs. 27.70 lakh

Read that the media was given ample time to test the car with some individuals driving for 250kms each. So I think they had to arrange more cars for the media drive and could not help but get test drive cars of nearby places to Bangalore. They would probably be on their way to respective dealerships by this time.

Anyways just TDed the last car on my list - The Tiguan . Nice and no nonsense car . Build quality is exceptional . Design is a bit boring but will age well . Fingers crossed for 10th august for the Tucson’s pricing . If it’s > 40 lakhs OTR Bangalore , a Tiguan will be my choice .
Where did you get a TD for the Tiguan. I am also looking forward to it but no one seems to have a TD vehicle.

Kindly share dealer details who i can contact for a TD

All current Hyundais in Indian roads are ugly. Amongst that sea of ugliness, the Tucson is the least ugly one IMO. Not that I forgive it and can ever consider it good looking, but atleast it looks acceptable (whereas the Venue and the Creta and the Aura are absolute abominations that I wouldn't keep even if i were given it for free)
