Re: FADA proposes Auto Dealers Protection Act

Utter Nonsense!!! And who is to approve such a anti competitive proposal? Where is this tabled?

So any Tom Dick and Gulati can come up with a set of rules for the their business and dictate manufactures how to run their business?

Don't like how the manufactures are offering you a deal? Simple don't set up his shop. Go to a different guy.

If some small time manufactures comes to India to test the market and launches a small batch of vehicles. Everyone knows what the risks are involved, including the one who buys the vehicle and the dealers. If the manufacture exits, the people who bought them are screwed and now are left scrambling to pick up the pieces and the dealers want special treatment?

When is a consumer protection proposal specially modelled for the automobile industry gonna be proposed, to save innocent customers from lemon cars, dealer cheating and service deficiency. Let that come first then we will talk about the dealers.

Re: FADA proposes Auto Dealers Protection Act

FADA and SIAM have always worked in unison and they have never to our knowledge debated on customer centric issues to better their customer's experiences, who are in the millions. Never have these two bodies resolved any of their customer's grievances against their own members to our knowledge. Their constitutions are tailor made to ameliorate their own respective member's grievances.

Hence under this backdrop FADA can assert its member/s rights with SIAM to enumerate its obligations for such sudden exit of a latter's member from India.

Both FADA and SIAM danced together matching each other's steps in unison to the Road Transport Ministry to influence Babus for formulating a vehicle scrapping policy so that they are able to sell more and more new cars. They have never taken cognisance of the obnoxious pollutants released by their own member's factories. They always say any car that's 15 year or older is non polluting for 5475 days from its date of registration. It becomes polluting from the 5476th day onwards and needs to be scrapped.

And now when the going gets tough for FADA members, FADA's Gulati wants protection for his members from SIAM members .

Atleast they got this part right - its only to protect the interest of dealerships.

As such consumers are the mercy of many a dirty dealers. Even under the current scenario its increasingly difficult for a common man to sort out problems with dealership. If the dealership get anymore upper hand, consumers will be left under the full mercy of dealership which is not a good thing. This will in no way protect the interest of the consumers and such cartelization should never be allowed.
