Jaguar XF facelift launched at Rs. 71.6 lakh

Jaguar has silently launched the XF facelift in India. The premium sedan is available with a choice of petrol or diesel engines, priced at Rs. 71.6 lakh and Rs. 76 lakh (ex-showroom), respectively.

Jaguar has discontinued the 'Prestige' variant, and instead, the XF is now available in the top-spec 'R-Dynamic S' trim.

As part of the update, the new XF gets a large front grille with sleek headlamp units on either side. The R-Dynamic S variant gets a more aggressive front fascia with larger vents on the bumper and sporty alloy wheels. The rear features slim LED taillights and a redesigned bumper.

On the interior, the XF now gets an 11.4-inch touchscreen with Jaguar's Pivi Pro infotainment system. It also gets a new steering wheel and a digital instrument cluster, among other updates.

The XF is available with either a 247 BHP 2.0-litre turbo-petrol or a 200 BHP 2.0-litre diesel engine. Both engines come paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission.

Wow, what a handsome car! That bezel-less screen looks fantastic too.

Re: Jaguar XF facelift launched at Rs. 71.6 lakh

Are they actually giving these alloys as standard ? Wouldn't be the best option for our roads but, god do they look HOT!

The days of a large price gap between diesel and petrol are gone. In Jags case I just don't see why anyone would get the more under powered diesel for 4-5L more. You will never really make up the difference in fuel cost.

Even when I bought the F-pace in 2019 the price diff was big enough and performance of the cheaper petrol was significantly better.

But what beats me is why luxury sedans are pushing their pricing into the 70s

In 2017, XF was launched at 47.5 lakh and in 4 years its almost double that. Is there any way we can invest in this? Seems to beat stock market returns.

The car looks beautiful. They never fail to impress.

But the Price!!!

Would anyone even bother considering this over a 530d? The 530d is actually cheaper!

Re: Jaguar XF facelift launched at Rs. 71.6 lakh

Interior looks Hot in comparison to current model. Exterior, well better than what BMW does in facelift.

Pricing is a bomb, I purchased my XF in 2019 for 56L ex showroom (portfolio diesel which is the top end). A 20L jump is not justifiable by any inflation.

But guess what, politicians and rich <builders'> kids (I'm not one unfortunately) are JLR's main consumer base. They worry little about these prices and jump the gun.

It's too expensive. And it would depreciate a lot more than the German limousines. I won't mind having one of these, second hand though!

Re: Jaguar XF facelift launched at Rs. 71.6 lakh

What a seller's market we find ourselves in! How the hell does a 6-year old model with a 2.0L turbo petrol cost 80 lakhs on the road . This is totally obscene pricing and one of the reasons that Jaguar-Land Rover, despite having an Indian parent, remains a smaller player in India. Some of their cars are great, but a majority of the range is overpriced.

According to CarWale, the pre-facelift was a 55 lakh ex-showroom car! This facelift must be coming with hidden solitaire diamonds in the glovebox

There are a zillion things wrong with such overpriced cars & I cannot think of a single reason to pick an XF over the discounted but beautiful A6, fast 5-Series or luxurious E-Class LWB.

Re: Jaguar XF facelift launched at Rs. 71.6 lakh

The most important part of the update is that its been launched as a CBU unlike the outgoing model which was locally assembled.

It’s almost like they’re saying - “Here it is. Himmat hai toh khareed lo!.”

For potential buyers in states like MH where CBU duties are sky high its surely going to sting.

Of course BMW is helping them out by recently hiking the price of their entire model range at rates that simply don’t make sense to me anymore. It’s not like they were cheap by any stretch.

Between fuel prices and vehicle prices, its almost like begging people to migrate out of here.

Re: Jaguar XF facelift launched at Rs. 71.6 lakh

Poor Jag! Why did they bother. The volumes and optimism do not justify the cost of a CKD operation hence the CBU.

Ironically, the XF abroad underwent a price cut along with the makeover and under cuts the BMW 5 series by 10% I’d buy one but not in India.

It’s steering will make you forgive everything except the 10 lakh premium!

Re: Jaguar XF facelift launched at Rs. 71.6 lakh

Are you sure the price is (ex showroom) for a medium sized sedan?? I'd say even if it was the on road price its quite ridiculous. Lovely car though, ride and handling beats the 3 series but at that price, don't think any sane human can write that kind of a cheque. Can buy 2 Skoda superbs!!!!

That would be great but according to an article I read somewhere (Sorry, tried searching everywhere and can't remember where) it will get 18 inch wheels here. Jaguar used pictures of the XF sold in the UK for representation, which is the same they did with the F-Pace facelift here. And if they are to follow their old strategy, there won't be an option to directly upgrade to bigger wheels
