Re: Tata Safari Gold Edition launched at ₹21.89 Lakh

Ohh man, TML what happened to your classic design themes. For God's sake you own Titan, Tanishq, Taj hotels who have best designers.

It seems every one came together and wanted their piece of share/advice/design element in Safari.

And instead of a higher standard edition it became literally a "Gold" insert edition.

It should have been just simple:

Safari Adventure - Gold Edition

Having the new features which you have added and introduction to may be some new colors.

Instead, it became hotel and jewelry shop edition.

Having said all these, thank you for bringing in the much needed segment first 2nd row ventilated seats.

Keep up the good work (feature, engine and design wise), dont experiment much and keep it simple and elegant. Remember Hexa, its has the most elegant interior and oozes quality and class.

Re: Tata Safari Gold Edition launched at ₹21.89 Lakh

Oh no! I've been waiting for a Black Safari with white seats. Delayed my booking to test drive the XUV 700, but my heart's still set on the Safari.

I was hoping for more features on the Safari in response to Mahindra.

But this is really not it. This is a Gaudy monstrosity and the dashboards look like a hotel bathroom. What's even more surprising is how a little bit of Gold colour can destroy the handsome exterior looks of the Safari!

Re: Tata Safari Gold Edition launched at ₹21.89 Lakh

A car which has an adventure variant without an awd is actually making some sense with a gold edition from the looks of it . Apart from the front two rows ventilated seats, it's a sad looking car.

Re: Tata Safari Gold Edition launched at ₹21.89 Lakh

Oh my eyes. Radiation-like damage to the retina. What is this Tata?

I was under the impression that TML had acquired Jaguar the car company. Looking at the white dashboard - now I suspect they acquired Jaquar the bath fittings company! The dashboard really has a gilded premium bathroom vibe to it!

And - apparently its 1Lakh (or more) over the current top trim Adventure persona. Add taxes and more insurance premium over that. This much more, just for ventilated seats effectively? Sorry Tata - but asking customers for more money, because you forgot to include features at launch - is rather amusing.

Instead of this useless Gold all over they could have just provided Ventilated seats in current variants. This is too Bling for my taste. But, you never know. In India people have all kinds of taste and this may turn to be a hot seller.

Should have been named TATA Safari Bling edition.
Cannot Agree more. The marble in the white Gold edition looks like the Italian Statuario marble . How it will age is anybody's guess.

But going by the addition of segment first features like ventilated seats for 2nd row, it looks like XUV 700 has managed to put Tata Motors out of its slumber.

Please Tata change that outdated infotainment and give us seat colour options other than the difficult to maintain oyster white. And yes please ensure that lemons don't pass the QC at plant level itself.

Seriously? Who passed these colors or names for that matter?

Features are a good addition though.

Re: Tata Safari Gold Edition launched at ₹21.89 Lakh

OMG! Bling it on!
I just rolled over laughing at the dashboard. And now the pain is slowly creeping!
It's deja vu! from the time I went tile & flooring shopping for my house. That marble finish with a golden strip has a definite luxe bathroom feel. Total Saudi prince vibe!
Ventilated seats should have been across all the colors.
Oh God what else will we get to see!

Re: Tata Safari Gold Edition launched at ₹21.89 Lakh

Tata's answer to Mahindra's toilet fittings?

These are really strange choice of materials to be used in a car. Or probably companies feel it is time to move from faux wood/silver finish stuffs !

Re: Tata Safari Gold Edition launched at ₹21.89 Lakh

I was disappointed reading the details of the variant until I checked the feature add-ons. The rear ventilated seats are a huge USP, and addition of air purifier and wireless charger are very welcome. These should absolutely be made available with the standard variants ASAP so as to level the playing field a bit with the Koreans and the Xuv7OO.

Re: Tata Safari Gold Edition launched at ₹21.89 Lakh

Would love to see ventilated for all 4 seats in regular Safari variants as well. Hope this comes at least in the dark edition soon.

Re: Tata Safari Gold Edition launched at ₹21.89 Lakh

Gold edition, black, white, silver, blue or all the colours of the rainbow are useless if Tata cannot ensure all the gremlins which plague owners of brand new or almost new cars are taken care of. Instead of first concentrating on removing all the niggles/problems they introduce new colour options

Cheers
