You're right! Right now nobody cares about these, much like nobody is checking the eligibility criteria during payment of taxes after 2 years even when the rule mentions clause regarding continued eligibility, but eventually in some years these checks may be in place? Who knows!

MH has again started a new Drama, they are asking for certain additional documents for registration. I was at KIA dealership today here in Nagpur, their RTO handling guy told us about some new GR dated 1st Aug 2024.
Don't understand what these Fools want. When enquired at CG (Raipur) dealerships about BH, they are welcoming with whatever docs are mandated by Central Govt.
Have asked friend to fire a RTI to MH govt regarding BH registration.

Just to update. Taking delivery of my new XUV700. Vehicle booking done on 16th July, PDI done on 30th July and got BH number confirmation today. BH regisrations are happening in Mumbai and didnt face any hassle. Provided the complete set of documents

In the following docs the ones in bold are not required as per BH norms and not everyone can provide all. Some of these were challenged and struck by MH high court. So your case doesn't prove that registration in Mumbai is not a hassle

3) aadhar card
4) voter ID or passport
5. Bank statement 6 months

7) form 60
8) company ID card colour copy
9)company GST copies of all states with company stamp & signature

Yes could be. What i understood in my experience - every dealer was telling me BH registrations are not happening nowadays and BH files were being stalled for sometimes upto a month. Additionally based on the "babu's" understanding, things could get delayed. My attempt was to provide every document required / may be required/ helps in proving my case for BH registration which, if still not granted, could be challenged.

I went by the documents multiple dealers / their agents asked for BH registrations and combined all these documents for my case. Got it within 2 days.

Its upto anyone's interpretation now what is needed and what isnt

To be honest, unless you have a very difficult or unaccommodating organisation, the documents mentioned in 4, 5, 9 and 10 should not be an issue. The proof of 4 GSTs to the best of my knowledge were always required IIRC. I think even I had provided this back in 2023 December in Mumbai. No 10 should also ideally not be a problem if the company is flexible to issue such a letter.

I agree that Aadhar should be good enough and there is no need to demand multiple proof of addresses but short point is one should at least be able to demonstrate address in the city one is registering as BH in. For instance, my offices are in Delhi, Gurgaon, Mumbai and Bangalore. I registered with my own address proof in Mumbai since that’s where I actually reside. God forbid if I was living in Bangalore with a difficult KA RTO to deal with, I don’t think I could have forum shopped and registered my BH in Mumbai / Delhi as a workaround. Not legitimately at least.

My point again reiterating is BH notification requires only form60 in addition to standard registration documents required. Nothing else

Form 60 has it mentioned explicitly. So no additional documents required.

I have done 2 BH this year one in Pune and another in Delhi. No such letter was asked or given

How come two registrations in two different cities in year? Moved base from Pune to Delhi (or vice versa) in the intervening period?

TN as a state does not roll out BH registrations, as far as I am aware. I don't think it is implemented on the ground as yet. I have only seen people getting it done from PY (Pondicherry).

My sister's org give form60 for BH series registration. Would like to understand from fellow members if it's okay shall I buy my car in her name? Does it have any repercussions?

Also, per my discussion with dealer, Karnataka does not allow BH for social and private sector employees. So, I will have to get it done in MP (my ho.e state). That should be doable, right?
