Its at the bottom of the GSR notification. its effectively a letter from your company that says you work for them and that they have offices in 4 or more states. It also pays to put the addresses of the offices in those states. I included the GST registration certificate of my company from those states as well.

How does one prove this? I mean if I am riding my bike in a different state and get stopped by the traffic police how do I prove to them that I have been in the state for less than 12 months?

Cheers,
did he give the reason why?

The story I got is once registered as a Temp registration, the permanent registration is considered a re-registration and hence not eligible for BH. The BH system specifically states that only New cars are eligible and hence re-registration is not allowed.

I don't have confirmation on this statement, so taking the above with a few pinches of salt.. (and may be pure Bull@#$!)

The current T/R process has a defined way to convert into that states registration - for ex: KA-01.
They simply don't know if a T/R to BH conversion is allowed.

Hence recommended to not do a T/R till the weekend.

Cheers

Asking for recent toll receipts was the most common way.
I used to get stopped by the cops few years ago during my frequent travels for work to neighboring states. The harassment was most common in Coimbatore(I remember there was one toll inside Coimbatore which used to specifically target and collect toll from KL registration cars only) and sometimes, very rarely in Mangalore belt.

Almost a week since the implementation was supposed to happen. Status quo remains as it is in Kerala.

There was a tweet by Karnataka Transport Department which said "You can apply, however allotment process has not begun yet" but has since been removed.

Re: New "BH" series registration | For cars getting transferred from one state to another

My dealer is saying BH registration is not yet started and they don't have any info on that.
I think I will have to go for normal registration instead of waiting as the vehicle is already in stockyard.

Anyway, I have asked her to not proceed with RTO process till the time I get this letter (form 60 i guess); and only if RTO rejects the BH number range request we will go the normal route.
Has anyone tried getting BH number plates in Maharashtra or Mumbai?
Hello Vikas,

I have also been trying to get my vehicle registered under BH series but my dealer is telling that there is no update yet. I am thinking of going via normal registration route.

What about you? Did you get any update from your dealership?

I had a word just yesterday and the RTO guys are saying we have not received any training yet . (This is coming from Mumbai RTO MH03)
It is going to take sometime, i have form 60 from my organisation but what do you do if the RTO is itself not equipped or ready! Anyway, I told my SA to register with whatever’s available
