Floored, impressive.
Looks like a Butterfly, people can have a throwback to the old Maruti Udyog logo too.
Mahindra is going posh & chic - good for the brand to have aspirations like that, better back that up with the product as well.

Yeah, reminds me also of those feminine catty sunglasses.
Sharp edges can be a nuisance in the finished product while cleaning, having said that never faced any such issues with the MUL logo.
Electronics co. logo? Yeah, does remind me of Infinity by Harman. (Logo attached)

This is absolutely a Batman call-sign with a Butterfly.
Mahindra can launch comic books too with this logo & create a superhero of their own, Mahindra-Man or Butterfly-Bae or Titli-Manav/Purush/Mahila/Naari !!

Interesting, with auto manufacturers moving to flat logos with no bezels, gradients and shadows, Mahindra decides to go against the grain. Will be keen to see how this logo shows up in its 2D / black and white avatar.

Like it or not, it's definitely striking. I for one am relieved to see Mahindra buck the trend of flat "all-new" logos that somehow aspire to communicate a whole new brand identity by tweaking a millimetre here and a colour shade there.

All good, but wondering what other SUV's are they going to launch once done with XUV7OO and Scorpio? Are they considering the cross overs like XUV3OO and proposed 5 seater XUV5OO in that portfolio. If there is something that is launching 2-3 years down the line, isn't now the time that we get to know of the road map and some scoops given Mahindra's extremely long test cycle. Interesting to see what those "SUV's of tomorrow" are!

Very recently Mahindra announced their 5 year plan of new UV launches until 2026. It included XuV 700, New Scorpio, New Bolero, 5 door Thar, W620 (assuming XuV 700 Coupe/XuV 900), V201 (assuming 5 seater XuV500), New XuV 300 and few Electric vehicles.

So this 'bikini' type logo looks great, and shows the vision of Mahindra on regaining their lost shares. This will be on all passenger cars or just only for crossovers ?

All Batman and butterfly jokes apart. The logo looks clean, minimalistic and in trend with the modern minimalistic design thought process. Makes me hopeful that the new XUV will also be a thoughtful product with attention to detail. Also, when did Batman stop being cool? I didn't get the memo. ��

At first glance, when you look at it, it doesn't look like M, at least to me (even though I already know that it is an M only). Close to H too, and more abstract or rather resembling a butterfly, bunny ears and what not than actually resembling M.

Here is my personal take on resemblance.

The point is that a logo doesn't always have to be the first character of company name, right? Audi, BMW, Maserati, you get the point.
Maybe it needed to look like an M since Mahindra's identity is not that established like these prestigious brands.

Anyways, coming back to the logo - I feel its a 50-50, sort of okay but definitely much better than the new KIA logo which is .

How it looks on vehicles and in person remains to be seen.

It's obvious this logo isn't made by a specialized branding agency. Looks like a bow-tie on the grill. Should a prestigious logo be seen like that? An SUV needs to ooze solidity and masculinity, whereas this seems very feminine. Will look terrible on a Thar. At first glance I saw two bunnies kissing, and not mountains
