As Miel mentioned I wonder why wait so long when the platform seems to be already available.
I mentioned this before and sorry for bringing it again, but Honda has the parts but wouldn't want to mix and match. Jazz could get 1.5 Petrol, WRV could get the Diesel automatic to name a few examples.

Looks like Honda doesn't believe in Customer Feedback or Needs.
I'm sure there must be more than few thousand customers who have asked for a WRV Diesel/Petrol automatic during their car shopping. And with a No, must have hopped on to the next best available option else where.
We are not asking Honda to launch the Pilot in India.
Just give us a WRV CVT combo in Petrol/Diesel which Honda already has in their kitty.

Meanwhile in 2023 -

Honda folks (with a massive grin on their faces) launch the new generation BRV - equipped with the same old 1.5 NA petrol, 1.5 diesel engines, styled with the 2nd generation Amaze dashboard, equipped with advanced features like a lane watch poor-res camera, etc - priced directly against the XUV 7OO.

The WRV with AT will be an able competitor to the likes of Nexon/Venue/Sonet. Regarding the proposed Creta/Seltos rival, a new platform will only bloat costs and kill it instantly. It has to be a stretched WRV or a raised City for Honda to have some scale economies. Which will it be?
Also, in the midst of this SUV craze, am I the only one who would pay for a Subaru Outback styled car built on Honda City (minus the AWD of course)? That could be an entirely new market segment.

At the unveil of the New BR-V, Honda has shown a mystery vehicle under wraps.

Speculations are high on whether it will be the RS version of BR-V, the new Mobilio or even the mid sized ( compact?) SUV ZR-V .

Could this be the SUV for India and other emerging markets (alternate to HR-V) as the SUV is speculated to based on the new BR-V?
