Hyundai Venue S (O) & SX (O) Executive variant prices out

The Hyundai Venue is now available in two new variants - S (O) and SX (O) Executive. Prices for the S(O) trim start at Rs. 9,03,560, while the latter costs Rs. 10,96,901 (ex-showroom).

The S (O) variant is available with either the 1.0-litre petrol iMT, 7DCT or the 1.5-litre diesel 6MT. On the other hand, the SX (O) Executive variant is only offered with the 1.5-litre diesel engine.

Hyundai has also made some minor changes to the feature list. The S (O) variant comes with steel wheels and updated BlueLink connected car tech. The SX (O) Executive trim gets styled wheels instead of alloys. These are essentially steel wheels with wheel caps, that give them the appearance of alloy wheels.

Looks like the Pricey Executive model doesn't get the chrome door handles present in the SX(O)

Removing alloy wheels from the top of the line 'Executive' variant and replacing them with steelies? What the heck just happened? I think the higher-ups at Hyundai India are smoking something serious.

Re: Hyundai Venue S (O) & SX (O) Executive variant prices out

This is their usual way of de-speccing a variant once the car gains traction in the market. Has happened in the past with i10 and i20(all iterations). The worst being the stylized steel wheels on Asta variants and yet no rear wiper. Most recent example of de-speccing was the Creta SX executive. Giving the feel of a top end name and stripping off features. Smart business acumen but customer bites the bullet.

Re: Hyundai Venue S (O) & SX (O) Executive variant prices out

Removing alloy from SX variant is totally absurd. Is Hyundai planning to kill the Venue?? One of the reason for me to go for SX is it has almost all features which are in SX (O). The comedy here is SX variant has sunroof but no alloy, wake up Hyundai, please.

Does this move have anything to do with a shortage of alloy wheels? Recently Nexon also had a change of alloy design.

Not sure how many owners care more about alloy wheels than the sunroof or wireless charger.
