Absolutely not. That is just marketing talk to retain interest and make a sale. Anyone who has seen these mules would be able to tell you that the front bumper, grille, the fog lamps and the alloy design are all that are changing with the exteriors of this facelift.

To me, it looks like a photoshopped image and a bad one at that. Also, if it is the actual car, what is it doing sitting in a showroom before it is officially launched?

This definitely is a photoshop effort, as the DRLs above the fog lights are definitely not so angular in the real car. They look much more squarish.

I agree, the paint also looks weird near the DRLs.

Same old rear end, just a new alloy. Ungainly Front Grill and DRLs.
Atleast Ford could have made a more upright and boxy front end like the Raptor, and few interior changes like Ventilated Front Seats, powered seats etc.

This is going to sink and Ford will stop further investments.

Those DRLs look like cheap aftermarket ones which is stuck using double sided tapes on so many cars. Very poor execution from the snaps that I see.

I really wonder where Ford has gone wrong? They've a capable hatchback, a sub 4m sedan, a CSUV and a great SUV, all with a proper AT and safety features. Still they're struggling to survive.

I am not sure about the launch, but he's absolutely right about the new tail lights, fog lamps and interiors. He's not lying, he's correct on his part.

However, we should interpret it in a different way. Every new Ecosport comes with unused/brand-new equipment.

IMHO, the current look of the ecosport is much better than the new or the previous one.
But, its high time, Ford should change that rear design for good. Its exactly same since almost a decade.

I think they just ruined the clean lines of the Ecosport. The facelift in 2018 was perfect update to design vs the original. This is just too much of sharp edges and creases to make it stand out. And the black bezel around the grill...why?

If you're buy an Ecosport, go to the showroom and pickup one now before this reaches dealers!
