Looks like the Ford-M&M JV started working on the facelift from front to back. Due to strong M&M influence, they seem to have got as far as changing the DRLs to be shaped like whiskers of some animal they are going to take inspiration from...and then the JV was called off. The conservative global team at Ford took back control, and decided to not change anything else (even the headlights) and called it a day for this facelift

With no new cars planned to launch immediately, Ford has to rely on this cheaper options to keep market interested. I doubt they will do any changes mechanically but will rely on features, styling tweaks to entertain folks. In upcoming days, they will launch spruced up Figo/Aspire and even Endeavour too.

If VW can sell 1000 copies of of 12 year old Polo with just petrol engine, don't see a reason why Ford can't sell decent copies of Ecosport, given Ford offers diesel and petrol.

It is highly unlikely that the Endeavour will get any updates now, given the next generation coming in next year. A few deleted features, maybe!

I doubt next gen will come our shores so soon. Launch in Australia is expected late this year or early next year. This will be followed by launch in Thailand and then finally India which would be 2023. Until then, they will have to churn out few limited editions in line with Sport variant, though there will not be any mechanical changes. From what I heard from my friends at Ford, current model is expected to do duty for 8-10yrs since launch. I hope they get few CBU Rangers and stay in limelight.

With changes to the grill and lower air dam design, it is very important to see if the car is able to get the cool air it requires on the run.

Well looks like Ford is going the VAG way of introducing new colors and changing the alloys and calling it a facelift. We should be thankful they are not calling these limited edition models!

Also, the Ford Figo has been spotted with new TC gearbox as well as new alloys. Is this some marketing gimmick by Ford to tell the Indian market that "Hey we are not exiting India for now!" and profit as much as possible before wrapping up their Indian operations?

The current Indian Ecosport is made in Chennai Plant. But this test mule is with Gujarat number plate. Is it an export spec Ecosport ?

I hope there's a 4WD variant scheduled with this facelift if Ford is looking at one final sales chart trigger through the EcoSport after seeing the response Mahindra received for a sub 15 lk ex-showroom priced Thar .
