Last time, they offered me a 560 Maybach @ 1,75 Ex-Showroom (2019)

If we have to compare this with outgoing Maybach, this is not only a newer generation but also gets more features (don't know yet what's standard or what's paid optional) but as others have said, some cars have a ready market for an initial period. As an example, if Toyota was to get LC300, whatever quantities they get, will be sold out at Toyota prices.

But it takes guts and the brand/ variant has to be strong to command such reception. BMW can never sell 10 of 760 Li at launch or in a complete year.

Beg to differ here, Sir.
The S-Class is a S-Class and nothing in the world can match up to its name and reputation and the sense of accomplishment it offers.

Also, the C-Class is known as the "Baby S-Class". Unfortunately and fortunately, the S-Class is never called a bigger C-Class .

Beautiful car at a not so beautiful price. 400d in Gle/gls makes more power and torque than 350d. But here, the engine is mentioned as 400d but the figures belong to 350d. What am I missing here?

Yes. My guesstimate is it will be launched by Diwali, if not earlier.

I hope they get off their high horse and price it right. I bought my w222 S350d exactly 6 years ago and the ex-showroom was 1.10cr. Sure the new S class is better but is it worth double! I def think not.

They claim to have sold 8000 S-classes in the past, I don’t see this number keeping the same momentum with this ridiculous pricing.

I see a sense of overconfidence creeping into MBIL with their leadership positioning. The last car marker that had this was Honda and we have seen what has happened to them.

Every human, no matter how rich he is, has two hands, two legs and one rear to drive & sit Most of the customers of S will already have multiple regular cars, a 911 or an M5 for those weekend drives.

As long as they have a right product & customers appreciate that, they will be ok. Currently, luxury segment is the least affected, ok the numbers lower but these will come back again. At least that's the way it's currently looking. Yesterday, a known was checking for a Urus and the earliest deliveries are April 2022.

Rich people are getting richer and are spending more money. Think of all the extra monies you have saved by not going to those overseas trips and shopping, people have so much of liquidity. I will say, there's no better time to change your S
