Although not exactly similar but new the creta front reminds me of the ford endeavor.

I, the one who loathe split headlamp design till now. I can't stand it on any car. The only acceptable one is on Tucson for me but still I can't imagine myself buying a car with split headlamps. Now a days, almost all new cars are following this design trend and Maruti is also not behind. I will not be surprised if Maruti does it even for Brezza, Baleno (Fronx, I know), Wagon R and Alto in near future.

My personal hate for that headlamp design apart, I feel they did a good job on this Creta compare to previous one. The new boxier stance looks more mature in my opinion.

Received a few screenshots on WA. Observations -

1. 17 inch tyres (not 16 inch which was speculated earlier).

2. Healthy dose of piano black finish in the interior.

3. The HAVC system looks decent, and as bad as it looked in earlier spy-shots.

4. Side profile looks very similar to the outgoing model.

HAVC layout gives me a feel of vintage radios, nothing wrong with the same but could have done better, I am still not able to come to terms with the front, more importantly rear. Maybe as I am seeing my Venue day in and day out I don't have that special feel.

Remember that 2 elephants campaign to display the structural integrity of the second gen Creta. We all know how it panned out with a borderline 3 star rating for the Creta. Unless they have made structural changes , hard to believe them. The worst part is having different standards for different regions.

Star ratings don't reflect only build quality. And comparing it with Maruti, and Tata, the recent Hyundai build quality far outpaces them in every aspect. Hyundai having poor build quality isn't a commonly heard complaint i think.

Two small tweaks which could have looked good IMO
1. Side profile grey strip should have been black
2. Rear led strip should have been of a cut out shape rather than a straight strip
This would have had an universal appeal, both for light and dark coloured cretas

That's typical Hyundai!! If you remember they did this with the first gen Verna when they introduced the Verna Transform. I think then after a brief period they launched the Verna Fluidic!!

One can only imagine the state of affairs for the owners of the Transform

Another thing to ponder is now that HVAC is dual zone, something that has been missing from Creta for a long time. My Elantra has it from 2017, this is now at par with Kia. I am now considering buying a Creta for this and the new 1.5 DCT. In my opinion looks are subjective and you get over them pretty quickly.

Eager to know what this is. Looks like a design element but looks so out of place and unnecessary. Should have placed the side AC vents there instead.

Absolutely loving the new facelift design of the Creta. The interior upliftment gives a fresh feel.
The gear console area doesn't seem have gone through much updates apart from the AT version gear lever.
Waiting for it to get officially launched and then I will visit the showroom to see it in flesh.

Can somebody explain why the Base model comes with Dual projector+reflective headlamp unit as seen from the above video while the Top end model comes with simple reflector type led unit which is proven ineffective.
Shouldn't it be other way round?

It's same on the current Creta and can be seen on other cars as well.
The top end is Tri (Quad - New Creta) beam LEDs while the base comes with halogen projectors. For the best output, I would say projectors will do a good job. Add a HID to it.
The LEDs on the current gen Creta/Alcazar are bad.
