Why are they moving away from fog lamps setup? For the minimum time I had Venue, it struggled in heavy rains and early mornings with no setup for fog lamps possible in it. Now, the same being moved to Creta as well. Isn't this a concern?

Would have expected a better design however, this one looks better than the current gen Creta which had polarising looks. That said, i dont know why but this vehicle looks smaller (just by the looks). The front is slightly better though.

When you compare it to the facelifted Seltos, well, the jury is out by a huge margin, isn't it?

I personally felt this uplift looks much better than the current one, although expected baby Tuscon look. Rear looks similar to Toyota Maruti Grand Vitara

Definitely better than the current gen. But is it as timeless as the original? No.

In India we must now change the classic line 'Sex and SRK sells' to 'Creta and SRK sells'- it's a guaranteed success even if they upholster it in fluffy pink carpets

Front still looks ugly to me, even in dark colors. There was no need of such excessive white/silver cladding at the front and rear. Either should have been kept little smaller or completely black. It's looking like too much of silver/white contrast and a little out of place.

Also don't know if its the pictures or its resemblance to Venue, but it's looking extremely small and not what a 4.3+ M CSUV should look like. Kind of like in the league of Kushaq's and Taigun's.

The creta in first image is Indonesian, second one is ours.
It is not like Hyundai doesn't know how to make beautiful cars, even in India they have models like ioniq and tuscon.

THIS DESIGN IS A RESULT OF HMIL'S COST CUTTING MEASURES, nothing else. They are not even ready to spend for glass on the C pillar(which can make the car feel big and spacious).
This is going to more of a tech loaded facelift than anything else, as a current gen creta owner, this doesn't excite me at all.
Seltos facelift can be termed as facelift but this is a farce.

Now, when it comes to the exterior, the more I stare at it, the more it plays mind games with me. The interior is like the VIP section of the segment, no doubt about it. But that exterior? It's like trying to solve a Rubik's Cube blindfolded. We've got less than a week to play detective and crack the case, I suppose..

Interesting to see that they have continued the Connected Headlamp strip which they have started in the Verna facelift. The grill looks too much like the Venue.

Most compact/midsize SUVs have started to look similar from the rear inspired by the Range Rover combined with the connected tail lamp trend. Creta is following the same. It has started to look better now compared to the earlier leaked pictures.

New design looks ok in isolation but it is not a coherent design. The front and rear looks good with the new boxy and neutral look but the side profile has the same curvy design from previous gen and looks odd. Also the white/grey element in C pillar doesn't go well with rest of the design.

This is less polarising than the previous gen but an half hearted effort overall.

Comparing this with venue is definite.. But facelift looks much better than the current one.

Also pricing will be key especially for Diesel avatar as both Venue and Creta have same engine. Need to see how Hyundai price new Creta with almost same looks like Venue with bigger stance. It think 4-5L more than Venue for 4.3m vehicle with spacious cabin, panoramic sunroof and more tech justifiable.

Choice of design is dependent on personal taste but definitely cannot call it a cost cutting measure.
For any manufacturer it is always cheaper to carry over an existing design which is already developed for other countries and sell it elsewhere.
In this case they have invested and developed a new interior and exterior design theme compared to the Indonesian model.
Also the Indonesian model has the same old dashboard as the current Creta whereas the new model here has a different one.
