For the same reason I never buy a car that is about to get a facelift/generation change. Incase the new model's price is increased unjustifyably high, the dealers will still have some leftover stock of the prefacelift model (especially in month of December). Buyer's remorse can be a frustrating thing.

That said, if you do feel the same level of frustration, you can still sell your Creta and go for the New Creta, with a minor loss at your side (Creta is a huge brand, the resale is good, and the new gen would certainly have long waiting periods (Seltos currently has 3-4 months).

I had enquired about the outgoing Creta few days back - they only had a black SX(O) with 50K off. Wasn't really interested since I thought the facelift SX would be around the same or lower price.

The dealer mentioned if I book now, I'll get the facelift in 2-3 months!
I have also booked a Seltos which should come in end of Jan/ beginning of Feb
but I am very curious about the S(O) IVT in the new Creta - would be great to have auto transmission and 6 airbags without sunroof, air purifier, etc.

Hyundai forgot to remove the EV gear selector on the right, which will supposedly be used by the Creta EV but obviously not the ICE version.

Second picture is the gear selector from the 2024 Kona Electric as a reference.

Either that or that stalk would house ADAS functions like it is in Astor. I don't see lane related functions on steering.

Is this just a facelift or a new gen? Rarely do manufacturers change the underlying frame and structures during a facelift. Almost always its plastic/glass/fiber and software that gets changed.

I am 100% sure all the images we have seen till now are all renders including the ones with actors. The images maybe from different stages of finalizing the interior, hence the differences and irregularities.

They would have to stiffen up the frame considering they are putting in a panoramic sunroof; Also with BNCAP I doubt Hyundai would lose the opportunity to make a splash with a "5 star" rating with 6 airbags standard across all variants.

not sure about the credibility of these renderings. the gear stalk looks different in the 1st two pics without and with Deepika. Even the rexin cover (at the base of the gear stalk) is absent in the 1st pic, while it is present in the pic with Deepika. Probably the one with Deepika is the real Creta render. the 1st one is not.

Having said that, as an owner of the 1st Gen Creta, I wouldn't consider this gen unless it gets a similar rating as the Verna

Incredible. Hyundai have once again managed to spoil Creta's design. IMO it looks like inspired from Venue. I feel like even current creta has better design.

I think it will look good in dark shades.

But in this white colour, yes, it has become worse than the current version.
