Leaked images from China have revealed the upcoming Tiguan Allspace facelift.



The Tiguan Allspace is the 7-seat version of the Tiguan. According to the leaked images, the SUV gets an updated front fascia that looks similar to the updated Tiguan. It gets redesigned headlamps, grille and bumpers, while the L-shaped tail lamps have been retained. The China-spec car seen in these images is equipped with a new set of dual-tone alloy wheels.



The images also reveal the updated R trim, which gets a slightly sporty exterior treatment. This variant has different bumpers and 5-spoke alloy wheels.



In India, the Tiguan Allspace is imported as a completely built unit (CBU). The SUV is powered by a 2.0-litre, turbo-petrol engine that produces 187 BHP and 320 Nm. The engine is mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and an all-wheel drive system.

I feel this design would really be a hit or miss for majority of the customers. Having owned numerous VW cars for over a decade now this design is just boring for me by now... While the R line looks more aggressive, I'm just not into the styling for the normal variant. VW really needs to step up their game like their other German counter-parts when it comes to designing.

We own a 2018 Tiguan. I hate the design and the boring interiors!!

But have realised some people really love the clean styling as well. For me the Tiguan has a very insignificant road presence and a very sedanish drive as well..

I am not at all a fan of the design direction Volkswagen is taking with this Tiguan Facelift and even the new Golf. I am of the firm opinion that VW should stick to clean understated lines and abstain from going funky or coming up with something that attempts to be youthful. It is glaringly obvious Chinese tastes have led them to design cars in this way. BMW with their horrifying grilles being the other victim.

The larger than life fog lamp surrounds, the quirky headlamps that stretch back, even the unnecessary clutter at the rear end is simply uncalled for IMO. The current Allspace and the old Tiguan pre-facelift look far better to me.

2022 VW Tiguan Allspace Teaser, will be revealed on May 12.

teaser tells the Allspace offers up to 67.8 cubic feet of cargo space, and it also flat-out states the Tiguan Allspace "received the same treatment" as the smaller version that debuted last year.

Volkswagen has released a teaser of the facelifted Tiguan AllSpace. The world premiere of the 7-seater SUV is scheduled to be held on 12 May.



The Volkswagen Tiguan AllSpace is expected to receive only minor revisions, both in terms of exterior design and interior cabin layout. The teaser image suggests that it gets LED tail lights that look identical to its 5-seater sibling.

Volkswagen has stated that the new Tiguan AllSpace will come with new features and equipment as well. This includes a digital cockpit, connectivity options and other driver-assist systems.

The powertrain options for the new Tiguan AllSpace are expected to remain unchanged. The SUV is powered by a 2.0-litre TSI engine producing 188 BHP and 320 Nm, paired with a 7-speed DSG automatic transmission.

Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace facelift revealed



Facelifted Allspace gains a redesigned front end incorporating a more prominent grille with illuminated strips and a redesigned Volkswagen emblem.



The IQ Drive Travel Assist system is also new for the facelifted Tiguan Allspace, providing level two autonomous driving assist functions at speeds of up to 130mph





Allspace is the latest Volkswagen model to receive the firm's new climate control section with touch panels and sliders.





The powertrain is unchanged, with the same 2.0-liter four-cylinder TSI engine powering the 2022 model.

Volkswagen will confirm prices for the new Tiguan Allspace in due course, however a spokesperson told Autocar that in Europe “it will be more or less the same price as its predecessor” for a starting price of about €36,000 (£31,000).

Volkswagen has unveiled the refreshed Tiguan AllSpace for global markets. The SUV features a number of design updates, along with added tech on the inside.



Starting with the exteriors, the Tiguan AllSpace now comes with a revised set of LED headlamps and LED DRLs. The front grille also features a single light strip running across it on either side of the VW logo in the centre.



The updated Tiguan AllSpace features redesigned alloy wheels that range from 17 to 20 inches, depending on the trim level. The rear end gets LED tail lights and the 'Tiguan' lettering on the tailgate just above the number plate housing.



On the inside, the 2022 Tiguan AllSpace comes with a fully digital instrument cluster, a touchscreen infotainment head-unit with wireless App-Connect, wireless charging and Car-Net WiFi connectivity.



The SUV also comes with Volkswagen's IQ Drive assistance suite, offering safety features such as adaptive cruise control, dynamic road sign recognition, emergency assist and park assist among others.

Doesn't the current 2.0L TSI produce approx 190BHP and 320Nm of torque. Has the power been reduced for the 2022 model. And also the current Tiguan All space comes with the 7-speed DSG if I’m not wrong. I guess VW are planning on introducing a 8-speed gearbox for the 2022 model. I’m curious as to how it will perform.

This refresh is a very nice evolution of the current car. The sculpted bumpers at the front (and the rear to some extent) give it a muscular look which the current one lacks.

The current gen reminds me of an estate car. This refresh doesn't (atleast in the pics).

the 2022 Tiguan Allspace looks good. But do not understand why the AWD model is a 5 seater only..
Kind of defeats the purpose of the Allspace really, to exist side by side regular Tiguan.
