I just checked New Safari and THAR price list shared by dealers. They didn't had GST as separate column. Since Isuzu caters to yellow cabs and business clientele who might have different tax amount (not 100% sure), it makes sense to have the GST as separate line item to explain the price better.

Thanks for sharing the link. Though it seems to be expensive getting the 'rear diff lock' installed, it is a informative link to know how modifications are done.

I don't understand why these ISUZU pickups are expensive? Is this a CKD product?
Highlander costs 17 lakhs ex.sh. better specced Scorpio S3+ costs 12.39 lakhs and Crysta GX costs 15.87 lakhs. All 3 are ladder frame with similar components and manufacturing style but latter two are better equipped.

I quite like their strategy to blame taxes, but keep in mind the pricing from other manufacturers.

Hi people,
I am starting a new post about my latest acquisition- Isuzu HiLander

The truck was purchased last month after getting a good March discount from Isuzu.

Reasons for choosing the Isuzu Hi Lander-
1.After driving a Tata Safari Storme for almost 9 years, I was looking for a car to replace it. I was really fond of my Safari and wanted the same driving position, cabin space and the raw SUV feel which very few vehicles can provide in this price range.
2. I really like the old school suv/pickup truck designs.
3. Always wanted to buy a Japanese car.
3. After the test drive, I was in love with the engine. It is miles ahead in terms of refinement as compared to Safari Storme which I was used to driving.

I will post some pictures of the car at the showroom just before taking the delivery. The car is in its stock avatar in the photos the way I received it. I have however added following things immediately-

1. Bedliner
2. Tri fold cover for the deck
3. Seat cover made of Malaysian leather
4. Head unit of Mega Audio (The car doesn’t come with a head unit but only with front door speakers)
5. Rear door speakers
6.door visors
7. Side step

Planning to add following very soon-
1. Roll bar
2. Tyre upgrade
3. Dash-cam
4. Sun control film only on the front windshield

I will post more pictures after I am through with these modifications.

Any comments/ suggestions from the veterans on this forum are most welcome. Also have following question-

Will upgrading to 18” wheels from 16” make a significant increase in the turning radius? Or I am better off with just upgrading the stock tyres keeping the stock rims ( I will spray paint the wheel caps black though. I totally dislike the silver wheel caps that most manufacturers give).
