The month of May 2021 is expected to witness a number of new car launches. Here are some of the important ones:
Hyundai Alcazar
The Alcazar is the seven-seater version of the Hyundai Creta. The SUV comes with a longer wheelbase and a longer rear overhang, allowing it to accommodate a third-row of seats. The Alcazar was initially planned to go on sale in April. However, the launch had to be delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the subsequently imposed lockdowns in the country.
The Hyundai Alcazar is powered by a 2.0-litre petrol engine producing 157 BHP and 192 Nm. There is also a 1.5-litre diesel engine on offer, churning out 113 BHP and 250 Nm. Both engines come mated to either a 6-speed manual or automatic transmission.

Skoda is all set to introduce its fourth-generation Octavia sedan in the Indian market. While the launch is expected to take place in May, the company is yet to announce a specific date.
The new Skoda Octavia will come with two TSI engine options. This includes a 1.5-litre unit paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox and a 2.0-litre engine mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

Isuzu is finally ready to introduce the BS6 version of the D-Max V-Cross in the Indian market. The new Isuzu D-Max V-Cross BS6 is expected to be offered in two variants and is expected to go on sale in the first half of May 2021.
The BS6 V-Cross likely to be powered by a 1.9-litre turbocharged diesel engine. It produces 161 BHP and 360 Nm and is paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission.

Mercedes-Benz will be introducing the 2nd-gen GLA SUV in the Indian market in the month of May 2021. Bookings for the SUV have already begun.
The 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLA will be offered with a 1.3-litre turbo-petrol producing 161 BHP and 250 Nm and a 2.0-litre diesel with variable geometry turbocharger churning out 187 BHP.
Mercedes-Benz will also introduce the GLA 35 AMG variant to the Indian market. This will be powered by a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol producing 302 BHP and come with an all-wheel-drive system. All engines will come mated to an automatic transmission.

Jaguar will be launching the updated F-Pace SUV in the Indian market in the month of May 2021. The British marque has already started accepting bookings for the same, with deliveries said to begin post its launch.
The 2021 Jaguar F-Pace will be available with either a 2.0-litre Ingenium petrol or a 2.0-litre turbocharged Ingenium diesel engine options.

The updated BMW 5 Series sedan was unveiled last year, alongside the 6 Series GT. While BMW has already introduced the latter in India, the new 5 Series is said to be next in line, with a launch expected this month.
The 5 Series facelift will be offered in multiple trim levels, powered by both petrol and diesel engines, all mated to an automatic transmission.
