While we might like the best technology, best driving experience, Maruti Suzuki's priority is revenue. Therefore they'll do whatever is best in terms of market and company's execution capabilities.

The response was for enthusiastic community here (t-bhp takes pride in that) who value a better gearbox over decades old 4AT or AMT. It doesn't matter how many bookings Baleno AMT had. Loss of CVT was a step backwards.

We all know MS doesn't give two hoots about what members like me say here and no one is disputing that - they will continue doing their thing.

Finally 6 speed Autobox and Airbags! This makes the Ertiga complete VFM for somebody looking for a Spacious MPV. Next should a 7 seater XL-6 for folks who like dark interiors. After a step back on S-Cross autobox, this is a good move from Maruti.

The minimum waiting period I could find out across dealers in Pune is 6 months for the newly launched Ertiga. This is for the Zxi AT.

By that time Carens would have gained a substantial market share. What should an end user do in such a scenario?

Can we have a vote again now between Carens and New Ertiga/XL6 and see how the percentage has changed as compared to the last one with a condition mentioning 'Go for Carens OR wait for Ertiga/XL6?'

That's just false hype being created. Realistic period is around 2 months max for any variant. Even the much in demand VXi CNG is being delivered in 3 months tops. Sometimes SAs quote such periods to play safe, but even they know the realistic periods.

I had booked Spresso by paying 11K but then cancelled it after 3 months (delivery timeline was 6 weeks but no delivery after 3 months) and nothing was deducted for me. The SA did tell usually it is Rs. 500 but he will try to avoid that deduction and he did keep his word.

Can see a sharkfin antenna, not sure if it's functional or just cosmetic because the older XL6 had antenna at front. Also spoiler seems to be OE now. The Head Unit looks like the 7 inch Smartplay Pro unit.

PS: based on newer pic posted below, the sharkfin antenna seems to be a functional unit.

2022 Maruti Suzuki XL6 facelift bookings open

Maruti Suzuki has started accepting bookings for the 2022 XL6 facelift. Customers can now place an order at their nearest NEXA showroom or online by paying a token amount of Rs. 11,000.

The 2022 XL6 is expected to get minor exterior updates, including silver roof rails and new dual-tone alloy wheels. Inside, the 6-seater MPV will get Maruti's new 7-inch SmartPlay Pro touchscreen infotainment system. It could also get new seat upholstery among other minor changes.

The XL6 facelift will be powered by Maruti's next-gen K-series 1.5-litre mild-hybrid petrol engine. It could be mated to either a 5-speed manual or a brand-new 6-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters.

Maruti Suzuki has opened bookings for the 2022 Ertiga as well, which is also scheduled to be launched this month.
