Re: Kia Seltos, Sonet select variants to be discontinued from mid-April

Good to see that the Kia is offering Traction control from the HTX version itself along with alloys and other safety features like ESC, VSA, HAC, BA from HTX itself is worth considering now.

And, glad that Kia had discontinued the HTK+ variant in DCT and Diesel AT by bringing HTX as the replacement and this will help Kia gain more sales as well.

I'm waiting for the response from Kia regarding updates of features in Seltos as well.

The above safety features are limited to the DCT HTX variant ONLY. The D AT HTX only gets the TC. Sucks! But this was the case even with the HTK+ variant.

Sometimes I seriously fail to understand the variant planning of these Koreans!

Maybe it was the mistake for not mentioning the Diesel AT by these rushlane guys.

Let's hope that the Kia will give those safety features in Diesel AT as well. But, still, I would recommend everyone to get GTX+ Diesel AT only.

Slight correction here! Kia didn't even introduce HTX+ Diesel AT in Sonet since the launch! The Sonet had only HTK+ and GTX+ in Diesel AT.

HTX+ Diesel AT was available only in Seltos itself, which will be discontinued soon.

Any updates on 2021 Seltos btw?

Seems like the new HTX Sonet turbo variant with 7DCT also comes with paddle shifters.

Re: Kia Seltos, Sonet select variants to be discontinued from mid-April

Here’s a bit more insight on the feature spread across the variants.

Looks like Kia got their wierd feature allocation sorted & the D AT now gets the much required safety tech viz. ESP, HAC, BA, etc.

I am also expecting a good bump in the prices with these additions.

P. S.: Got this from a FB source.

This is good news from Kia! Introducing Diesel AT and 7DCT in HTX is a welcome addition!

Kia finally realized the importance of safety features, and good to see that those safety features will be available from HTX onwards.

BTW, did you get any update on the addition of features in 2021 Seltos?

Nope, nothing on the Seltos; except for the fact that it will now be getting an iMT box.
