Re: The best car advertisement taglines used in India

When compared with the LIVE YOUNG LIVE FREE tagline of Mahindra, I don’t know why, but the RECLAIM YOUR LIFE slogan of TATA motors almost sounds like Midlife Crisis to me

Re: The best car advertisement taglines used in India

One of the best taglines I came across:

'The steering wheel isn't just for steering, it's for holding on' -- Unless you drive the Scorpion King, you won't make out what it means.

"More car per car" of the Indica
"Nothing else will" do of the scorpio

These I feel carry a very different ring and tone to them.

Probably because we owned them once but feels very connecting.

The other cars never really had a line that connected me to them.

One very beautiful connection was the Tavera with a Chevrolet reverse horn which sounded very pleasing.

That live young live free advertisement had a fan following of its own!

Couldn't resist to watch and share! One of those brilliant ads which showcase the entire product lineup in an amazing way.

Also if I remember, the tagline for the TATA Sierra 18 TILL I DIE had me captivated during its early years. Sorry, I have no photo.

Re: The best car advertisement taglines used in India

For me, the Indica tag line is way up - my bias of having my 1st car as the Indica to be ignored. The second goes to the Nissan Sunny.

I am excluding the premium brands since they are a different breed. For your average joe who shops in the under 10L range is what these car mfgs are after.

The "Fill it, Shut it, Forget it" for the Hero-Hondas and the "Hamara Bajaj" was quite innovative.

This used to be aired when Schumacher drove for Mercedes F1. Surely must have inspired some to get the SLS.

However, from India, this one from Mahindra takes the cake according to me. The song in this one is something.

Absolutely true to its character. I love two more tag lines for the Abarth Punto as well:

Give speed a complex and Feed the greed for speed.

I remember the advertisement for a new Bolero model during the mid 90's.

"We have succeeded in ironing out all the bumps.
(But sorry about the goosebumps)".

Re: The best car advertisement taglines used in India

In early 2000's Maruti launched electronic power steering equipped Alto(Alto Spin Variant) with a tag line FUN ON THE RUN. It was quite a catchy tagline back then. Power steering was not a common feature in small cars during that time.

Re: The best car advertisement taglines used in India

Below one was more of a catch phrase than a tagline, but definitely made people look twice at the product which would have otherwise been ignored.

90's kids will definitely remember "Hoodibaba".
