Old tag line of Gypsy -
There's a Gypsy in everyone ! The name
Gypsy was quite apt too.

I recall this cheeky tagline for the cheeky little car that was Honda Brio:
"It Loves You Back"
-----------------------------------
Since we have already talked of 2 wheeler taglines on the thread, for me these were the 2 most iconic taglines while growing:
Almost venerable (deservedly or undeservedly) RE Bullet:
"
Everybody makes way for the Bullet"
A tagline hitting right at the top of Maslow's Hierarchy! The quintessential cruiser of the Indian masses:
"
Feel Like God". Enough Said.

There were some taglines that really clicked with the upcoming middle class in the 80s and 90s.
1. "Hamara Bajaj":

2. "Mera Sapna, Meri Maruti":

3. "Chal meri Luna":

4. Also loved the Bajaj Dominar "Haathi Mat Paalo" ad:
5. After owning a Ford for 20 years, can confirm that this actually holds loads of meaning in it. Those who own a Ford will understand.
6. A few gems from the 90s:
7. These are not from the indian market, but couldn't resist posting these witty ones:
8. Found this one really cheeky. It's a BMW ad in German. It says, "Even a Mercedes can bring home driving pleasure."rl:

Porsche Nails it every single time

I have always found Tata ads and taglines very smart, apt, and memorable! Too bad the sales never matched the ingenuity in the advertisement, though cult status was obtained. Case in point are the following Tata Sierra and Tata Safari ads.
Tata Sierra. It's not owned. It's possessed.
Tata Sierra. It's not owned. It's possessed. Tata Safari. Make your own road.
Tata Safari. Make your own road.
Although I am a true blue BMW fan, I can say that this Mercedes AMG tagline tempted me.
Ah my god (along with a reproduction of the all time classic AWOLNATION - Sail)

To say the least this ad is imprinted in my sub-concious.

Here are some amazing Tata Safari Ads |
Pure Nostalgia. These Tata Safari ads were just out of the world. Anyone knows who was behind these ads? The person I mean.
My all time favorite would be Tata Safari's tagline. RECLAIM YOUR LIFE.
However I would like to add Polo GT tagline to that. Respect, it's the Polo GT
The Diesel Rocket's tagline was quite catchy!!
I have always found this tagline of Skoda Superb's "Best-in-NEXT-class" to be truly kick-ass. rl:

Well you haven't seen UK. The most boring and ridiculous ads. Even a KG student would be able to make better ads. I've been watching the Australian ads for the last 3 days and compared to the British ones they are really not bad.
I just wish that the cars sold in India were as good as the ads.
OT: I always found the Hector's tagline funny. Though the tagline justifies the equipment on the car, it just doesn't feel like a tagline that was meant for a car. I used to have a good laugh when I hear "It's a human thing" in a British accent.
EDIT: If international car advertisements are taken into picture, then nothing can beat the seventh generation Honda Accord commercial. I still remember drooling over that commercial when I was a kid:loveit.

During the heady political climes of auto bailout in the US, Chrysler did some pretty great commercials. It started with "Things we make, make us" of Jeep. Then "Imported from Detroit" for Chrysler with Eminem. They did a good job later with Dodge "So God made a farmer" commercial too. And went downhill with Clint Eastwood "Half time in America". :-)
Closer home in India, I don't recall which VW it was, but they had an "Achtung, Baby!" commercial which was pretty good. The "Das Auto" was full meme material. "I didn't get a pay hike. Thus Auto" was one.
