Skoda is going to update the Superb with a bunch of nice to have features for 2021 in India. The 2021 cars may be reaching the dealerships as early as end of this month. Listing down the details I received from their sales team earlier today:













I would expect anyone currently in the market for a Superb to be torn between the fantastic ongoing discounts (incase there are any stocks remaining) on the 2020 spec L&K and having to pay a premium for the updated version. I personally hope Skoda absorbs the costs arising from the extra features for 2021 and does not price itself out of the market especially since the current generation Superb has been around for a while and was only recently revamped and it did not exactly set the sales on fire.

Will be interesting to see if Skoda continues to discount these or stick to full price for a few months.

Nice update and now even closer to Audi than ever before. Really as a package it is becoming difficult to find fault with the Superb.

The 360 camera, new MIB3 infotainment are great updates.

However those getting hefty discounts can seriously go for the older one. The old one was 39L on road mumbai and 41L on road Bangalore.

The new one with 360 camera, virtual cockpit just like the Kodiaq will be more than a lakh more is my guess and discounts wont start till may june is my guess.

If you can snatch the old one for less than 35L in Mumbai and maybe 37-38L in Bangalore, those features can be overlooked IMO.

The only real useful feature is the 360 camera and is the only one I miss on my Kodiaq when parking in tight places.

Dear, I think you misread Venkatesh's post. There is no Inscription variant.

The 2 spoke steering wheel (instead of 3 spoke in sport line) comes with L&K inscribed at the bottom.

Hence he wrote, with L&K inscription.

The old L&K on road was really about 38L OTR in Bangalore after negotiations etc, so I would expect it to be about 36-37 now? Especially since L&K didn't get a price rise after Jan (only Sportline got bumped up by 50K).

I have the 2020 Superb and the one feature I feel truly miffed about missing is wireless carplay/AA/charging. Virtual cockpit would have been a good to have for future proofing; AFS, 360 camera are good additions.

Auto park is useless in India.

Another feature that I miss is inability to see the Google Navigation on the dashboard (via AA). Inbuilt navigation can be seen on the dashboard, but does not give traffic updates.

Regarding the prices, I feel that the price of L&K will be bumped up when they officially launch the new version. Considering that all the changes are coming to L&K, it is difficult to believe that they would increase price of Sportline without any feature addition and keep L&K the same with added features.

I read on briskoda that this is disabled explicitly so that Skoda/VW can charge for it or something like that. There was a screenshot of this being done on an audi.

Looks like a missed opportunity for Skoda to get some goodwill. Considering that they are not selling charged maps in India (not that anyone would buy it in India), they could have gotten brownie points by making it available and counting that as an added feature.

All good. But I just cannot digest the presence of that ugly 2 spoke steering wheel. A 3 spoke swap is mandatory IMHO which is pictured in the first few snaps for some reason.
